3d printing has been here for a while. You can trust and believe there are already printed guns running around.

Doesn't need to. What Trump is doing will put a gun in every terrorist hands. It was terrorists that were responsible for 9/11 thus the comparison.

Your's has nothing to do with Terrorism and is a false equivalency something conservatives are fond of using but have no bearing to the argument at hand...

Then why am I saying the opposite? If you are going to apply liberal logic then shouldn't you follow that of a Liberal?

I just cannot understand why you won't give the facts in their entirety Mr Peters,
The program that is sold for a 3D printer only makes an 80% complete non gun.

So, Add up the cost of the printer and the materials needed to make the printer work,
Add in the time of hand finishing the other 20% of this project and you'll find it's
Not even cost effective...this is simply a very expensive tech toy project for geeks.

If one was to make a weapon there are much faster, simpler and cheaper ways to do it.

Now it's 3 D guns. Maybe you'll shut up about semi autos for a while.

We all know Trump isn't very smart but is no one around him smart enough to stop him from doing this?

PeterS, you are so CROOKED, and a SERIAL LIAR. It was Obama and your Eric Holder who gave guns to the DRUG DEALERS OF Mexico, called the FAST AND FURIOUS, that killed many of my fellow Americans, and especially the border agent Brain Terry. Your Obama crimes are so overloaded that you dump some of them to the innocent honest president Trump, who is now cleaning your favorite MS 13 gangs, and the illegal alien terrorists. They are the members of the democrat party along with PeterS.

The first prints were published by this company in 2013. DOJ under Obama, pressed for them to not be downloaded under export laws, which would only prevent foreign countries from downloading. Based on Obama's DOJ handling of this case, it is very reasonable to conclude that OhB was OK with US downloading files. It is nothing to do with Trump, except this man kept fighting and an Obama Judge ruled in his favor for 1st amendment rights violation. And thus the mess you are trying to blame on Trump.

It is now Trump, once again, cleaning up the mess the guy you say is good, Obama (OhB). Truth is, more like what most Americans are understanding, the democrats are trying to make America just another nobody country. Sorry PeterS, true Americans will speak very loudly in the 2018 election and beyond. And it won't be a vote for more mediocre performance we have suffered thru for years.

Pete, the 911 terrorists used box cutters. A #2 pencil or a ball point pen can be used as a weapon. Mike

The easiest way to test that theory is to see how many terrorists have tried to hi-jack planes since 9/11. We know it's not from those doing the screening, we know it's not from lack of terrorists, so why haven't terrorist put two and two together and hi-jack more planes?
Cuz they're getting their asses kicked, is why. I reckon that if an Islamist terror squad hijacked a jetliner and crashed it into the WH, you'd have an orgasm and praise Allah for a month.

Whatever happened to that phenomenal logic you so eloquently brag about? It may come as a shock to you but Muslim terrorists have no problem getting their hands on guns.

Military grade firearms increasingly available to terrorists in Europe

For Europe’s criminals and terrorists, buying a gun is getting easier

Then of course there is the great liberal denial that any terrorists are among the thousands of illegals coming in here.

Crayons pointed out the problems with 3D printed guns. I doubt that such a costly and limited production capability is going "put a gun in every terrorist hands". Rather an illogical and poorly conceived assumption, don't you think?

That said, we know that your latest primal scream has nothing at all to do with guns, you are just using guns as an excuse. If farts were deadly, you'd aim yours at Trump.

Do you really think making the 3D guns illegal will keep criminals from having them? Can't any person with the funds to purchase the printer and use the internet make them? The very thought of such weapons is scary, but I can already see a great black market for them.

There were terrorists though in 9/11 and now Trump is willing to put 3D guns in their hands so the comparison most certainly holds.

It figures that someone who uses false equivalence in most of his comparisons would mess up this one too.

Trump actually said "that making 3D guns doesn't seem to make much sense". There you go again, having comprehension problems with what you read. You should be ashamed.

Much cheaper to just go buy one illegally.

And on top of that, laws were written in either 1988 or 1998 to make it illegal to make or design a gun that would not be detectable. A law that the NRA helped to get passed. So OhB's DOJ that attacked thru export laws and then the defense by the company ise
that it is protected by 1st amendment, are all bogus and more examples of people not using the correct resources to solve the problem.
Trump went to the experts and simply asked the NRA's thoughts and they pointed out the law. Another win for the promise keeper.
