Major League Baseball is having an attendance problem. Management is blaming the weather. Weather is always a safe excuse.

League-wide attendance entering Friday [June 15] of 27,328 per game is down 6.6% from this date last year and 8.6% overall, according to Stats LLC. The sport hasn’t seen an attendance drop of more than 6.7% in a single season since 1995, when the average crowd fell nearly 20% following the player strike that canceled the 1994 World Series. MLB attendance has remained consistent throughout this decade, never changing more than 1.9% in either direction.

Weather, however, can’t explain the issues everywhere. Through this time last year, Blue Jays attendance is down 29% in Toronto at the Rogers Centre, a stadium with a retractable roof. It’s down 3% at Seattle’s Safeco Field, even with the Mariners sporting one of baseball’s best records. Crowds are also down 10.9% in Oakland, 6.7% in San Francisco and 4.2% in Tampa Bay, markets where weather is almost never a factor.

One factor that I have not heard discussed is MLB’s support of homosexuality with its celebration of “Gay Pride:

So much for family-friendly. A total of 23 Major League Baseball (MLB) teams have signed on to sponsor gay pride events at games during the 2018 season, with the bulk of the “inclusive” celebrations coming during June, the homosexual lobby’s long-time annual “Gay Pride” month.

Why would anyone celebrate a sex act? That’s what gayness is all about. The thing that separates homosexuals from heterosexuals is the type of sex they engage in. What does same-sex sexuality have to do with pride?

For the Pirates organization, it’s worse than just having a celebratory nod to homosexuals and the alphabet soup of gender-bending designations; it’s that the Pirates capitulated to the perversion by combining it with Kids Day:

It seems you can’t even take your kid to a ballgame these days without encountering the ol’ red-orange-yellow-green-blue-and-purple.

The Pride flag will take the place of Old Glory in Pittsburgh’s PNC Park on July 2 [2017] when the Pirates’ first-ever Gay Pride Day falls on the weekly Kids’ Day. Each ticket to the Major League Baseball game will include a Pirates Pride Day cap, complete with rainbow-hued “P”.

Mental health awareness advocate Richard Jarzynka has begun a campaign on Facebook to protest the conflation of the two events.

“I have been a Pittsburgh Pirate fan for 50 seasons,” he declared online. That ended the day he found out about the Pirates “Pride” celebration. “As a Christian, I cannot support an organization which actively promotes a behavior which the Word of God repeatedly and unequivocally declares to be a sin,” Jarzynka wrote. It’s even worse in 2018:

Among the teams giving LGBTQ “pride” an extra marketing push is the Philadelphia Phillies, with that organization’s management taking to the team website to invite fans to “celebrate Philadelphia’s rich LGBTQ culture at our second annual Pride Night Celebration at Citizens Bank Park on Thursday, June 28…. All members of the LGBT community, as well as family, friends and organizations are invited to come out and show their pride at this event.”

That’s just what I want to do … take my grandchildren to a baseball game to celebrate homosexuality. No thanks.

Did you know that MLB has an “Ambassador for Inclusion”? When I was growing up, if you wanted to be included, kids wanted to know how well you could hit, throw, catch, and run.

What’s happened that sports teams engage in the promotion of such perversity? Haven’t the Pirates big shots and the MLB teams been following the anti-leftist downward spiral of ESPN?

Will the day come when adulterers get together and call for Adultery Pride Day? Divorce Pride Day? Transgender Pride Day? Ecosexual Pride Day?

Haven’t you heard of Ecosexuals? You might encounter them at an MLB game in the near future, so be prepared:

The video, uploaded to Facebook by In the NOW, begins with the words, “there are humans that ‘f**k’ nature” and shows hippies literally rubbing dirt on themselves and licking trees.

One woman can be seen sensually shoving dirt into her mouth before the words “ecosexuals consider earth to be a lover not a mother” appear onscreen.

“They even perform ‘weddings,’” the video continues, showing a mass congregation of “ecosexuals” marrying “anything natural, from rocks to mountains and seas.”

The clip goes on to state that “ecosexuals believe their ‘faith’ will help environmentalism be taken more seriously.”

Once you go down the slippery slope of moral degradation, there’s no way to stop it.

What used to be heard from the umpire was, “Play ball.” Now it’s play politics with homosexuals and transgenders or else.

How many homosexuals play in the Major Leagues? Not a single player who will admit it, and yet homosexuality is being shoved down the throats of baseball fans. The same is true of the NFL and NBA.

If you want to watch homosexuals play basketball, attend a WNBA game.

Nonsense, the games are to long, and there are too many games. TV has taught people FAST action, change the story. Remember Baseball was once big on TV now virtually gone, even the World Series is on a lesser channel. Long term trend, next victim will be Pro Football, as kids are kept safe and the players of tomorrow are not launched in their High Schools.

What causes the games to go for so long and what rules could be changed to make the games go faster. The NFL will be going through more changes if their viewership continues going down as well as basketball.

One case is all the TV advertising, when you attend an NFL game, notice the time spent, just waiting between some plays, this is so the networks can run many commercials, before the game resumes. When I was a Kid the NFL games were maybe 2 hours, now can run up to 4 hrs, at home you can get a snack, go to bathroom. etc, in the stadium NOTHING to do.

Gay used to be an acceptable word in society but has now been bastardized by the homosexual movement. We used ro say that we had a gay time in the old town tonight and that had nothing to do with homosexuality. Maybe we should recapture those words and take them away from the LGBTQ society and return them to normal folks.

I avoid going to events that feature weirdoisms . Especially if it is hurting kids. Baseball has reached a new low.

Most of the pro sport world is becoming to weird for me. In the old days men were men and women were women. Now you have girls trying to compete against men that want to be women and men competing with women that want to be men. I worry about America in this day in age. I also worry about my grandchildren as to who they will marry and will they find the right person to marry.
