It is an old debate that has been around for a long time. It is much ado about nothing. We lowered the ability to buy regular alcoholic beverages to 18, in Virginia, about thirty years ago. The young people in that age bracket could not handle the responsibity. The Virginia General Assembly had to rethink things and raise the age back to 21. The death rate for automobile accidents increased along with a few other statistics and they had all the proof they needed to take action. I personally feel that the age limit for both should be twenty-one.
