If I were you, I would not be bragging loudly about CA teachers. Per the San Jose Mercury News, November, 2013, CA ranks nationally number 45 in the nation in reading and math. The separation by ethnicity is not particularly impressive either. :D. Your daughter is a teacher, correct? Hmmm....

African American Student scores were -17 for 2013 and, just WOW, your Democratic teachers are truly impressive with "Socially Disadvantaged Students" their scores were -27 for 2013. That would be for San Francisco. Give those teachers a raise.

The liberals do not want to look at facts. They follow the liberal bias against guns and never think about why Obama and others want to disarm Americans. The fact is that gun deaths are low in areas where people have the right to carry guns on their persons. They don't understand that the school shootings, although tragic, are the direct result of gun free zones. Nothing like putting a Sign up saying "c'mon in with your guns, nobody here is going to stop you". It's really idiotic if you think about it. Chicago has some of the toughest gun laws in the country and some of the most gun violence in the country.
Texas has more guns than almost anybody else and some of the lowest crime rates involving guns.
The school shooting were done by deranged sick mentally ill people. Gun control wouldn't stop them. They are sick.

Taking guns away from law abiding citizens is kind of like searching little kids or grandma in a wheel chair at airports. Let's see, The vast majority of terrorist have been arab men between the ages of 18 and 25 so let's search an 80 year old grandma in a wheel chair or a 10 year old little boy or girl for weapons. This country continues to go downhill due to the socialist panderings of the liberals.

The point is that it exposes the hypocrisy of the left. You scream, yell,stomp your little homo feet and fling your little man purses around in a tizzy over 1.3 million gun deaths in 45 years. Many of these are legitimate shootings in self defense or law enforcement shooting some son of Obama. Yet you fight for the murder of unborn children to the tune of 58 million in less years.

In reflecting on your question, though, you have a point. Many of your 1.3 million gun deaths were not murder. Virtually 100% of the 58 million children killed before birth were murder. Good point. Thank you!

I for one am tired of this debate, sick of the childish squabbling and name calling of so called intelligent people on this site. Some of the comments rank right up there with the remarks of our politicos in Washington. Nothing will change and the party of preference at the time will prevail.
