We wonder why we have all these kids that have been indoctrinated by leftist ideology shooting up all these kids in school houses and never realize WE NEED TO STOP TEACHING OUR KIDS THESE DESTRUCTIVE LEFTIST VALUES AND IDEOLOGY!!!

Liberal cucks want to jump in and beat the White Man down to size.. only the perpetrators or the grossly ignorant can't see that..so eat some more couch snacks big one..
This running off at the pie holes about white privilege is getting to annoy we the people who have worked hard for what we have..
Are you one of those four hundred pound cuties who has the state financing your weight problem?

SCHOOLS AROUND ME CONTROL WHO COMES INTO THE SCHOOL. BUT WHEN THE SCHOOL GETS OUT THERE ARE MASSES OF CHILDREN AND PARENTS THAT COULD BE SQUASHED BY A VEHICLE. MAYBE A GUN IS MORE PERSONAL, BUT IF IT IS RANDOM KILLINGS, TRUCKS WORK. THERE IS ALWAYS AN AMBUSH POINT, IF YOU ARE A DETERMINED MURDER THERE IS NOTHING TO HOLD YOU BACK BUT A GOOD GUY AND HOPEFULLY HE IS ARMED, NOBODY ARMED, WELL THEN MORE KILLED WHILE YOU WAIT FOR THE POLICE.

I have to wonder how many people read comments to blog articles. Here is one from your quota article that I think makes a lot of sense.

What are your chances of winning the lottery? Extremely low. Until the day that you do. On that day they are very high.

What are the chances of being in a place where a mass shooting is going to take place at the same time? Extremely low. Until the day that you are.

Same with getting shot by a mass shooter. Most police officers have never and will never draw and shoot their firearms at anyone. The odds are against it.

What are the chances that you will be mugged or robbed or raped or be the victim of home invasion? Hopefully extremely low. Until the day it happens.

So, you’re next question should be, since the odds are that I won’t be a victim, should I still prepare for that eventuality? That’s up to you. You take chances with your own life. With the lives of those around you. Every time you get behind the wheel of a car you’re taking a chance of getting in a wreck. Even if you do everything right someone else might not and bammm, you’re in a wreck.

The Boy Scouts of America have a motto. It’s a simple motto but it has lasted for decades. “Be prepared.” That’s it. Very simple. Be prepared for what you might ask? Be prepared for anything. Be prepared for the odds to not be in your favor. Police, whether they are good or not, can not be everywhere at once. They are called first responders because they are usually first upon the scene after something bad has happened and they investigate the aftermath.

It can be you laying on the ground as they investigate. Or, better yet, because you chose to get and stay prepared, it could be the body of a bad guy intent on doing harm to others laying there on the ground. You choose. I’m of the opinion that the odds become more in your favor when you are prepared.

I think it's getting closer. It's terrible that it takes shooting deaths to get children involved but this is an election year and are politicians really going to stand before children and pretend they aren't even there? It's almost impossible to get younger people out to vote but the realization that they just might not be coming home might just do it. The only way to get the legislation we want passed is to get the ultra right out of government. Our children might just be able to do that and con politicians won't know what hit them...

Hey, Petey, did you hear the Florida kids speaking today? I felt sorry for them in that I don't think they wrote the speeches they read. I really didn't like hearing them blame the NRA for that shooting, but somebody who wrote their speeches didn't like the NRA. One of those kids intimated that those kids would defeat some of their legislators, but I doubt that enough of them will vote in 2018 and by the time of our upcoming election people will have moved on looking for the next "gun free zone" shooting. Till today I hadn't realized that the coaches who were killed were also hired to take care of things like this. Yep one of the kids said this very thing.

I think that the best way to react to this shooting would be to equip some teachers with guns and regular practice with them and training for taking care of shooters. I really don't think most of those "mental cases" are so out of it that they would take a chance if they knew that those teachers would be out shooting at them.

My daughter's high school had 4 temporary "Assistant Principles" who wore side arms but in civilian clothes. One was stationed at every door in the morning. After classes started all but the main entrance doors were locked, BUT could be opened from the inside in case of fire. That in it's self was a weakness but what are ya going to do? Anyway, her school was run with an iron fist and all of the kids and parents knew it and appreciated it. Mike

You stated that 95% of all murders are caused by left wing nuts. That means the question has been resolved. Ban semi autos and only keep hunting guns and revolvers to arm ourselves with.

When and where was this? And I have to ask--where did these principles get the liability insurance they are required to have to be on the job? I mean, one stray bullet and you have a multi million dollar law suit that no school or school district would be able to handle on their own. I love your guys imaginations but once a lawyer pointed out the immense liability of having 'civilians' running around with guns I don't think that even here in Texas we would be so gullible with our guns. Every school has an armed SRO's. If you have to have people with guns better to have police officers who are trained to deal with this type of situation...

You're asking a lot of stupid questions. The one question you should be asking is "Did it work?"

Tell us, which would you prefer, the consequences of a principal or teacher firing one stray bullet and hitting someone, or would you prefer no bullets at all to stop a whacko with a semi-auto who hits a whole bunch of someones. Gotta keep our priorities straight.

In case you didn't know this, Pete, there are millions of civilians running around with guns. I run around all the time with guns. Haven't had one cop, one lawyer, or one insurance salesman talk to me about that.

AS MOST ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS IN THE US DO NOT HAVE SRO THEY WOULD BE THE PRIME TARGET FOR A SCHOOL SHOOTER LOOKING FOR THE MOST CASUALTIES.
IT MAKES SENSE DURING THESE TIMES TO ADD SRO NOW AND NOT LATER.. WE SEEM TO CLOSE THE GATE AFTER THE COWS HAVE LEFT THE PASTURE.

Well statistics show that 60% of all bullets discharged by trained police miss the target. Now when police get to a shooting they do not enter a building until the know exactly what’s going on. They have bulletproof vest, radio communications. Can you picture the swat team showing up and inside that building you have 200 teachers running around with guns. Not to mention kids running around screaming and teachers with guns.

Millions of dollars are paid out by cities and towns because these so called trained professionals missed there target and shot an innocent bystander.

It’s an argument that the right wing has put out by the NRA to sell more guns. Trumps answer to those parents and kids that 20% of the teachers should be armed. That amounts to 700,000 teachers that need to be trained who is going to pay for this training.

Have you ever noticed that the right wing answer to school violence is add more guns.
