This has a couple of ramifications.
The first is the apparent realization that anyone investigating Trump or his Republican allies is essentially sacrificing their careers. It’s the last thing they will do. The problem is that the people who take this on now will be institutionalists who are gonna go out with a Bang. The Old Guys.
This makes it worse for the White House.
Our allies are now actively Surveiling the GOP. If I ran the Canadian, Japanese, Australian, British or any other NATO Intelligence Agency I would put a full team on Devin Nunes and the Trump White House. The American Government should rightly be viewed as a threat to global stability right now. There is something wrong in Washington DC. This government is no longer functional.
This makes it tough on everyone.
That makes the North Korean situation infinitely more dangerous. The Russians are supplying the DPRK with fuel and supplies. No ally with half a brain will follow Trump in guns a blazin.
McCabe becomes a public liability for the Administration. He can talk, not to Mueller but to the press. Unlike Comey, Yates and the US Attorneys this was nakedly Political. It also reeks of Obstruction of Justice. McCabe was approved by Republicans, multiple times, right up until this last year. The question is, Will He?
The House will at some point actually have to open up the FISA protocols. This is potentially quite dangerous. It is unlikely that the FISA Court, which was appointed by Republicans, issued surveilance warrrants on Americans in politics without clear grounds.
We don’t exactly know how this works but take it on faith that the Public Servants Act in good faith. If they haven’t then the entire system needs to be abolished, not restructured.
Open, Public Hearings will be full of grandstanding but this is a big enough event, the elimination of FBI Leadership, that everything will come out. Even the super secret squirrel stuff. What I think is being missed here is that McCabe is either a political casualty which demoralizes the Federal Workforce or he is being accused of a crime.

This has a couple of ramifications.
The first is the apparent realization that anyone investigating Trump or his Republican allies is essentially sacrificing their careers. It’s the last thing they will do. The problem is that the people who take this on now will be institutionalists who are gonna go out with a Bang. The Old Guys.
This makes it worse for the White House.
Our allies are now actively Surveiling the GOP. If I ran the Canadian, Japanese, Australian, British or any other NATO Intelligence Agency I would put a full team on Devin Nunes and the Trump White House. The American Government should rightly be viewed as a threat to global stability right now. There is something wrong in Washington DC. This government is no longer functional.
This makes it tough on everyone.
That makes the North Korean situation infinitely more dangerous. The Russians are supplying the DPRK with fuel and supplies. No ally with half a brain will follow Trump in guns a blazin.
McCabe becomes a public liability for the Administration. He can talk, not to Mueller but to the press. Unlike Comey, Yates and the US Attorneys this was nakedly Political. It also reeks of Obstruction of Justice. McCabe was approved by Republicans, multiple times, right up until this last year. The question is, Will He?
The House will at some point actually have to open up the FISA protocols. This is potentially quite dangerous. It is unlikely that the FISA Court, which was appointed by Republicans, issued surveilance warrrants on Americans in politics without clear grounds.
We don’t exactly know how this works but take it on faith that the Public Servants Act in good faith. If they haven’t then the entire system needs to be abolished, not restructured.
Open, Public Hearings will be full of grandstanding but this is a big enough event, the elimination of FBI Leadership, that everything will come out. Even the super secret squirrel stuff. I’m not sure that they will be able to Cherry Pick the releases. They can try, but at some point a Dudley DoRight is going to fall on his sword and take the jail time to dump everything online.
