Are you an idiot? Piers Morgan got fired for his antiquated notion that the citizenry must be unarmed. Are you forgetting that an unarmed citizenry is a vulnerable one to criminals whose possessions of guns will come right from where we ( if we ever have to) turn them in. They will just float the weapons on the street as they do the drugs they seize now. In order to get Texans to turn in their guns, we would secede first. And that has become quite obvious by the way the president has stopped pounding about giving up our rights to bear and carry arms without infringements, which means background checks and any other sort of infringement.My brother has had past mental issues as well as criminal ones. He tried to get a firing pin fixed and the gunsmith looked him up and then looked at him like he was crazy. He can't even fix a cheap shotgun. The gun laws at least in Texas work. Jack the Ripper used a knife. When the shit hits the fan, you may be glad that your neighbor has his gun and will be willing to save you from the masses who will be armed and try to break into your house to get your food. When it's not handed to them anymore, when we finally hit rock bottom with these entitlements, then they will come for your goods. Don't you think having a gun around when chaos and the entitlement masses are pounding on everyone's door to get in and get their goods? Neighborhoods, under the 2nd amendment, we will be able to have neighborhood militias that won't let anyone in or out. That means every able bodied man between the ages of 16 and 69 to protect your ass because you can't and won't be able to protect yourself. At least in gun states, criminals and the masses will think thrice before breaking into the gun populations homes for things that aren't theirs. That is communism. Why should I pay for someone else to stay at home to stay with their kids?
