Just how lame are you? Of course, it was the democrats. The democrats would like nothing better than to see the government shut down. They act like children throwing a temper tantrum.
The question is, why? The answer is because they would rather see illegal aliens be allowed to stay in our country. Do you think for one minute they give a shit about them? They don't. All they want is the vote they will get from them when it comes time. So what's that tell ya? Is that good for the country?
NO.
Ask yourself this also. Why would they want to let near one million people stay in our country, knowing
we the taxpayer will have to foot the bill? Why would we the taxpayer, want to give all illegal aliens
special treatment over our own citizens? You're telling us, you prefer this over protecting our own?
As far as the wall is concerned, let's not forget that Congress has already voted to build it. All that is left is to fund it. Talk about the party of NO. The main reason we have the problem on our borders is that the democrats won't vote to fund it.

You need to do some real searching for what DACA is about.. Clearly you have no idea..
In the short term.. read this..
Here is Donald Trump owning the shutdown! When asked about the shutdown, Trump says:
Well, if you say who gets fired it always has to be the top. I mean, problems start from the top and they have to get solved from the top and the president’s the leader. And he’s got to get everybody in a room and he’s got to lead. And he's not doing that.
When they talk about the government shutdown, they’re going to be talking about the President of the United States, who the President was at that time. They’re not going to be talking about who was the Head of the House, the Head the Senate, who’s running things in Washington. So I really think the pressure is on the President.
So there you have it, Trump's bottom line on any government shutdown, ever. And it's especially applicable this time. Trump told the Congress, flat out, that any bipartisan bill they presented, he would sign. The leadership on both sides met with Trump, they hammered out a bipartisan agreement, the Congress leaders went back to start writing up the actual legislation (this apparently takes about three days)… but the shithole hit the fan, Trump spoke to someone after Durbin, McConnell, et al left, and Trump called to cancel that deal.
A week later, Schumer met with Trump, at Trump's invitation, to try and figure out how to get Trump on board for the deal. They made some progress, Schumer was willing to give Trump everything he had asked for on “The Wall”… a few hours later, Trump calls up with a big pile of new requests. As Schumer said, dealing with Trump is like dealing with Jello. This is completely on Trump.
Also consider that Trump and the Republicans created this crisis in the first place, over nothing. Trump cancelled DACA. He didn't need to, he could have pressed Congress to replace it without putting a time bomb on those kids, but this was intentional. Trump wanted to make 800,000 young people a political football. Similarly, the Republicans had all kinds of money for other things: $700 billion for the military, $3 trillion for big business, $450 million just to hand out to real estate speculators, but $13.6 billion for the very successful CHIP program, supporting 9 million American kids, could not be found… and thus became another political football. Neither of these problems were natural, they were intentionally created.
I think what we have seen with Trump is simple: he never actually did real negotiations. He wanted a business deal, usually something pretty arbitrary, and so he'd meet, make a deal, agree on the deal, then change the terms vastly in his favor at the last or walk away. Or just not honor the established contract, just cheat you out of the final payment. True, if he really wanted the deal, he’d make the stupidest deals in the history mankind, as he did when he bought the Taj Mahal casino. But usually, he just bullied the deal, and walked away or cheated if he didn't get all he wanted. And THAT is what he thinks negotiation is supposed to be.
So of course Trump won't own the 2018 shutdown. After all, neither the Democrats nor the Republicans gave him everything he wanted without also dropping their other demands, so clearly, they were not negotiating correctly. It has to be their fault, because nothing has ever, any time, anywhere, been Trump's fault.
It cannot be, because it is always someone else’s fault, and it is very, very clear at this point that Trump does not have the slightest understanding of cause and effect. And that itself is profound. It is impossible to learn via experimentation, by experience, if you have no concept of cause and effect. The feedback loop is complete broken with this one.
