America has a clear definition of foreigners. It's enshrined in law. Without that definition, every person on the planet is entitled to enter.

How do you propose we manage our borders? Follow the law, let everyone in, or let a dictator choose?

Realistically Dave, I think the answer would be to help them "want" to stay in their own country. For that, we would have to continue to help their countries. In what way you may ask, in becoming a more democratic republics. Where people are allowed the rights we have of life liberty and pursuit of their own happiness, without fear of their own safety or that of their families.

People are going to give me grief for this, but I don't think a woman should be.president of the US. . I also don't think a woman should be VP either. They can do anything else in government and do a great job. Just take a look at the countries women are in charge of. Doesn't look very good.

Sorry I missed this earlier.. Only have 400 something in emails to get through from being gone..

I’m curious kan on why you feel women should not be president or a VP?? I’ll add more after you as I don’t want to influence you one way or the other..

Back to Oprah I read an article just recently that said a poll was done and Orah would beat trump if elections were today, yet another poll said she should not as she would only split the ticket losing in the end..
She hasn’t made a statement of running so it’s all speculation ITV” testing the waters”...
I remember all those polls that had hills a shoe in... yup they were sooo right even they believed their own lies..

I hope they keep it going,it worked well in getting Trumps votes even higher...

Polls: Americans don’t want Oprah to run – she’d even lose the Democrat primary

For a Democratic Party candidate field composed of leaderless, messageless, aging urban elites who are out-of-touch with ordinary working-class Americans, Oprah Winfrey represents a God-send. Sure, the 63-year-old television mogul also lives in a state of perpetual urban seclusion in her multimillion-dollar ivory towers, and Oprah’s political principles can be described as an amalgamation of race-baiting and New-Age snake-oil self-improvement strategies.

Yet, a vocal segment of the U.S. population are unable to see through the billionaire’s anti-intellectual worldview to her deeply materialistic inner core, and Oprah’s indifferent response to questions about a potential presidential bid have liberal fangirls and fanboys practically seizuring in anticipation. Fortunately, the informed majority of Americans don’t have the stomach for a potential huckster-in-chief and race-baiter extraordinaire.

“YOU get a vote, and YOU get a vote!”
Despite the unsuppressed giddiness on display from late night talk show hosts and the Hollywood establishment, a recent Newshour/Marist poll indicates that 40 percent of Democratic voters and 77 percent of Republican voters are opposed to a Winfrey presidential ticket. However, the average American wouldn’t know this from reading the vast majority of media reports which have zeroed in on subordinate finding from the poll indicating that Winfrey would defeat President Donald Trump by 11 points.

Incidentally, this forecasted margin of victory is precisely identical to the NBC/WSJ’s projected national lead that Hillary Clinton supposedly maintained over Donald Trump just days before the 2016 election.

Oprah wouldn’t even win the Democratic primary, according to a RABA Research poll. When voters were asked who they would vote for if the 2020 Democratic primaries were held today, Oprah came in third behind Bernie Sanders and Joe Biden.

In any event, Winfrey would have trouble taking on Trump if most Americans believe that she shouldn’t even be privileged to run for president. Fifty-four percent of the 1,350 adults surveyed believe that Oprah should stick to running her television network and reprising small roles in moderately successful Hollywood movies.

Starving for a leader, or an Obama 2.0, Democrats responded to Oprah’s impassioned speech at the 2018 Golden Gloves by wistfully reminiscing about the Democratic Party’s better days. After Winfrey was awarded the Cecil B. DeMille Award for lifetime achievement at the Los Angeles ceremony, she addressed the celebrity ballroom with a memorable speech capturing the event’s thematic protest of sexual abuse:

For too long, women have not been heard or believed if they dared to speak their truth to the power of those men. But their time is up. Their time is up!
The starstruck response from the left was immediate, overblown and overly ambitious. “I’m on the bus with Oprah,” Jimmy Kimmel said.

Harvey Weinstein buddy Meryl Streep would have cast her vote from the ballroom floor: “I want her to run for president,” she breathed.

She’s running,” Hamilton star Leslie Odom Jr. tweeted. “A new day is on the way.”

Except, all of these media megastars and super-liberals failed to ask Oprah Winfrey how she felt about her own premature inauguration. When Winfrey’s longtime friend Gayle King told CBS This Morning that the former talk show host was “intrigued” by all the support for her nonexistent political career, many Democrats wishfully received this as a formal declaration.

However, King was later compelled to elaborate and tell fans that she did not think her friend was “actually considering” a 2020 bid for the presidency.

Detached democrat
Perhaps the rest of America is simply too conscious of Oprah’s tone-deaf response to everyday living. After all, this is the same philanthropist who once said that she was “so frustrated with visiting inner-city schools that [she] just stopped going.”

“The sense that you need to learn just isn’t there,” she said of black American youth. “If you ask the kids what they want or need, they will say an iPod or some sneakers. In South Africa, they don’t ask for money or toys. They ask for uniforms so they can go to school.”

Oprah’s disdain for her own country may explain why she created the $40 million facility housing the Leadership Academy for Girls in South Africa. Winfrey was sure to outfit the building — occupied by girls with no desire for “money or toys,” remember — with a beauty salon, yoga studio, 200-thread-count sheets and huge walk-in closets that girls who own very few clothes have no use for.

While this type of opulent wastefulness may appeal to a certain class of liberal Hollywood elites, most Americans are sickened by such unrestrained displays of social snobbery. Winfrey would be wise to stay far away from Capitol Hill for the next four years.

You nailed the top performers very well..
Nikki would be an exceptional assist but I’m not sure she is ready for such a position yet.. depending on Trumps time in she likely could be that’s for sure..

I also think Helle Thorning-Schmidt, Prime Minister of Denmark has done an outstanding job so far and is strong in keeping Denmark out of the mix so to speak..

Now these women I would not respect that’s for sure.. Merkel because at first I thought she was doing great, then the Muslim issue and she fell right off my radar👎~~
Angela Merkel, Chancellor of Germany
Dilma Rousseff, President of Brazil, robbed it blind!! Strict progressive libber right there..
Laura Chinchilla, President of Costa Rica :another crook ..

And now finally I have disagreements with you!!! Aunt Jemima everyone wants!!! She is so versatile and loving and caring.. Smart woman too, built a demand, brought in more money than ever expected and was so demure about it as well.. A lady of grace! Very diversified too..

Bo we agree.. a true failure..

You just bitched about the wars we were in. That was exactly lunk head Bush's reason for invading the Middle East. He believed that if we could start Democracy in those countries the people might choose freedom over religous dogma.

Thank You, Bahmer... Oprah would be wise to stay away period. She’s also not as nice as she is made out to be.. Self centered narcissist she is, joining the base of others whom are as well, that would be her only “ experience”..

Ironic the numbers are similar to hills, perhaps they forgot to fudge them more..

When they say they caught a 32 inch Snook I automatically subtract four inches. we've had other President's (recent comes to mind) that were eloquent speakers (teleprompter) who told outright calculated lies. Or what he said twisted .. As well as having said things claimed to be lies that later pan out to truth.. Of course those are never reported on by the main steam media liars..

Your example of fishing buddies exaggerating is truth and funny....Trump has been known to exaggerate but to he, it is just telling it as he sees it.. That dang narcasstic attitude jumping in again...

AKA nation building.

I don't disagree. Naturally we can't fix every country or fix any country completely or alone.

Iraq had free elections thanks to Bush43 and out military. When Obama took office Iraq was an ally.

I'd like to see the UN disbanded and replaced with a pro-freedom body.

The rub comes because the dictators of 3rd world hell holes get filthy rich keeping their populations in chains.

What you propose requires regime change. Would you be willing to kill the leaders, if necessary, to help their citizens?

Do you think Muslims and their countries are going to concede to a democratic republuc, or The Russians or communist countries such as China, Cuba, Vietnam?

Or the Socialist countries like China, Sweden, Netherlands, Ireland etc??

I think they believe what they have is right for them .. and how would you achieve this other than throwing out their entire government and taking them over??

We offer plenty of money and military to all countries including Muslim countries and look at the return.. Nothing changes for them .. Their crooked governments just get fatter as they steal the monies paid for themselves.

I truly agree we should help keep them in their own countries.. Self pride in being in their own homeland may be the motivator for them to want better... Have often said rather than taking in all these people relocate them to the safest area of their own land, build them housing, water, electric etc and patrol the place for safety.. Anyone trying to conquer them on that land gets shot!! Not just the US either.. All members of the UN should be told they will assume responsibility of it too.. Over time those living free in their country just may feel that pride and respect and thanks of help even building a bond there as well .. Who knows a wish list I guess but one that is doable and would be a heck of alot cheaper saving lives of our military.. We don’t need to get involved in other countries affairs but from a need of humane compassion do need to help the true refugees..
