Holy cow just a little paranoid, the report had nothing to do with global warming, it was just stating how long it's been since here in the south we have had such an extension of a prolonged cold spell. What I'm saying and this is only my opinion, is that these changing weather conditions, just as the numerous strong 4-5 rated hurricanes we had last summer are signs of our changing climate due to the effects of global warming.

Apparently, you are totally unaware past weather occurrences and the history of major violent storms. During the last Ice Age is was not uncommon for winds to read 200MPH and the lower southern edge of the ice. I guess that once you drink the Liberal cool-aid that you lose your ability to learn or think.

Would that be the 100k cycle and if so what time period are you speaking of then??

I have no idea about some type of exact weather cycle, but it may be worth your time to read the written weather history of the middle-east for the past 10,000 years. The changes are amazing.

You must be pretty young. We have had bad weather for all of my 54 years. I remember waking up, covered in glass, and being thrown into a bathtub before I was even 4 years old.
Here in tornado ally, it's been pretty calm lately.
Let me simplify it some for you.

Spring, we have thunderstorms.
Summer, we have heat.
Fall, we have calm with the odd snow/ice storm.
Winter, we have cold, snow, ice, and everything in between.
Some years we have a lot of some.
Some years we have a lot of nothing. Like this year.

Of course, Winter is young yet, so cyclone AR-15 may be looming in our future. Who knows?
You must be pretty young. We have had bad weather ... (show quote)

You really must not read anything for you to even ask your question..."How in the world can these people come up with man-made global warming as settled science". It is called technology, science, research accumulated proven data. Tell me Einstein how do you think our technology can PREDICT where an asteroid would land if falling to earth?

Our technology can not predict where an asteroid would land if falling to earth.. Hell it can’t even accurately predict when it’s going to rain or where a hurricane is absolutely going to hit....

Nothing about science is proven with an absolute.. As soon as one claims something another science study will refute it ..
A systematically organized body of knowledge on a particular subject, not an absolute ever...
Accumulated proven data?? Not hardly, use for example global warming~~

Nitrogen is an inert gas, the only natural place CO comes from is a volcano. Without CO2 everything on the earth will die.

First, you can't even spell Navy, come on man, really?...second, nitrogen isn't CO, that would be carbon monoxide, deadly stuff also in fossil fuel, nitrogen symbol is N. Third... Carbon is heavy, not Co2, and lastly, no one has EVER argued the point of getting rid of Co2 completely, that's insane but then again we are talking about the comprehension of the xtr right. No logic or reason. That's why Trump is your man, at least once you also add moral depravity.

We are being told not to think about it..

I assume you know who James Hansen is right?? Do you know what he said of the Paris accord??

He said it was BS!! yes, he said it was BS because it didn’t do enough...He also said it was a fraud.. While I disagree with most of his theories I do agree with him on that statement..it was and is BS..

Hey LJ glad you’re back. You are talking to someone , Morgan that is convinced I’m a Russian immigrant. This argument never stops on OPP or anywhere for that matter. These global warming acolytes are as rigid as the people that believed the earth was flat and to disagree was heresy. Secondly, none have a workable solution that doesn’t require wrecking economies. Glad you are well. Gotta go time for my nightly shot.

This bit of nonsense is even worse than what Morgan pointed out. It is techno babble similar to a lindajoy post.

What the above "average CO2 is .03%" refers to is hard to guess. I can't find anything where the US Navy "dive team" says anything averages .03%.

And it gets worse:

"On top of that CO2 is very soluble in water, rain takes down most of what is in the air every time it rains."

At best a VERY intense rain might be able to leach 3 percent of the atmospheric CO2. Actually 6 percent might initially be absorbed but half of that would immediately be released into the atmosphere.

"One more thing, CO2 is heavy, it sinks low places like mine shafts, it can not get into the upper atmosphere as the nut jobs claim."

In fact scientist have been measuring the CO2 in the upper troposphere since the 1960's. CO2 is slightly heavier than air but it clearly is distributed throughout the earth's atmosphere. If that did not happen it wouldn't be just settling in mine shafts, but every valley on earth.

как смешно!!!! возможно, так лучше,
I thought we were nazi deplorables last I read Lololol.

Consider please, the left has no base to argue anything anymore so they just piggy back each other in practiced recital from what they have read from someone else in here..

Wrecking economies is the master plan, this should not surprise you.. The progressive globalist have to bring the country down to control and manipulate for their needs not that of the country..Have we not seen that the last 20 -25 years specifically??

Global warming was their silent base to swindle millions from other countries and we the citizens of this great country.. It is now being harnessed and they are in meltdown once again..Look at Gores asinine assertion over the Arctic freeze that is an artic freeze and not from any global warming, good grief that man is an idiot....

Pollution is a true concern, our water, air and land has to be protected and is our responsibility....You have said this many times being concerned with the waterways for fishing, etc..Air is one of, if not the most, essential resource that life depends on.... It can come from natural sources, such as volcanoes, and artificial sources, such as human activity..particle pollution is rated as “deadly” yet CO2 is the concern of choice...

Other than that our Earth is going to do what it has done in its cyclic evolution.

I’m home Wednesday, now in LA for a day or two...

Also, I've noticed the way you pick around responses, and avoid certain questions. You're just like your phony compatriots. Repeat what you've been programmed to repeat.
Now whine because I'm attacking you.

Hold on, I'm not done yet.

My money says you bought into the whole "bomb cyclone" BS too, or are just waiting for the right opportunity to play that card like your other brother Peter did.
Well, kids, here's the deal.
You leftists like to give common things new scary names to make them sound like something new, and unprecedented in order to push your agenda. It's as plain as the ever growing nose on your face.

"Polar Vortex:-- Cold air coming down from the Arctic. Been happening forever.
Now we have "bomb cyclone". A winter storm off the east coast. We've never had one before. It's unprecedented because we've never called it that before.
All this climate BS might be more believable if weather, and climate were as predictable, and easy to read as you people are!!

Now, go eat you some bon bons and formulate a sniveling, whining response about how mean ole Archie is picking on you again, Punkin.

I'll be waiting.
Yeah, figures you would say a climate scientist wh... (show quote)

Archie, even you cannot possibly be so stupid or ill-informed.

I have posted several times here that "questioning" is primary to the scientific method. Disallowing questioning as our left-wing morons do is not. Drawing conclusions from dreams and gossip is not. "We've never had a *bomb cyclone* off the east coast before" is simply because nobody paid any attention to media morons before.

A bit here and there.. Been out playing more than anything.. Have had a few discussions about it while enjoying the pool too..

“Bomb cyclone” you mean the brisk arctic air that is pretty common this time of year??? One exception is that because the Arctic's deeply frigid weather escaped its regular atmospheric jail that traps the worst cold, it then headed south to central and eastern States...Not all of that unexpected if Canada, Alaska Or Syberia...

Super cold air is normally locked up in the Arctic in the polar vortex around the North Pole, right?? A strong polar vortex keeps that cold air hemmed in and not running off to play elsewhere..Eventualiy when it weakens is when we get the gradual cold temperatures over time....

This time Wellll its the nuance of Mother Nature doing what’ she does oh so well..

It for they all that what is your theory?? I may not have come up on it yet in reading the other posts..

Here’s a little food for you to chew on !! If posted already then it’s still worth reading again!!! Bravo is what I say~~
I haven’t been through the thread yet..

For the past few weeks, a significant portion of the United States has been gripped by bitter cold and strong winter storms that have blanketed various parts of the country in snow.

In other words, fairly routine winter weather, yet even this excessive cold snap hasn’t succeeded in fully quieting the hysterics of those who continuously insist that “man-made global warming” is the root cause of “climate change,” whatever form that change may take.

Indeed, the climate change cultists are now arguing that, of course, bitterly cold and extreme winter weather are the result of a warming globe, as evidenced in this article by noted climate alarmist Dr. Michael Mann and The Climate Reality Project.

Fellow climate alarmist Al Gore pushed a link to that article in a tweet which stated, “It’s bitter cold in parts of the US, but climate scientist Dr. Michael Mann explains that’s exactly what we should expect from the climate crisis.”

Al Gore

@algore
It’s bitter cold in parts of the US, but climate scientist Dr. Michael Mann explains that’s exactly what we should expect from the climate crisis.

The article was in response to recent remarks from “climate contrarians” like President Donald Trump mockingly dismissing the notion of “global warming” in the face of extremely cold temperatures.

Unsurprisingly, there is a big red “donate” link at the top of the article, as well as a place to sign up The Cilmate Reality Project’s “activist email list” at the bottom, which was duly noted by conservative Hollywood actor and Twitter funnyman James Woods.

In response to Gore’s tweet, Woods tweeted, “Let me guess: we should DONATE to some website, correct?”

A short time later, Woods added another tweet that informed anyone reading his tweets how they could really make a difference with their money instead of donating it to a “climate hustler” like Gore or Dr. Mann or any of the other alarmists.

Woods tweeted, “Instead of donating your money to a #ClimateHustler, go buy some cold weather sleeping bags. Drive around and give them to the homeless. Instead of supporting more private jet trips for some fat blowhard opportunist, you may be saving the life of a better human being. #WinWin”

He further explained in follow-up tweets that sleeping bags were better donations to the homeless than blankets because they could be zipped up to hold in body heat, and also noted that a donated child’s winter coat could be helpful in providing warmth to a homeless person’s equally homeless pet.

Furthermore, Woods noted that waterproof items like a poncho or tarp could be a “lifesaver” in freezing cold rain and snow, as are inexpensive blowup mattresses designed for camping that could save a homeless person from having to sleep on the cold, hard ground.

Woods essentially pointed out that the homeless deserve help more than Al Gore deserves another yacht, and he is exactly right!!!!! Ain’t it the truth~~~

A bit here and there.. Been out playing more than ... (show quote)

My theory is (and I think I'm right) that now they are giving otherwise normal weather systems big, bad, scary names, so they can claim that we've never had one like it before. This is the first "bomb cyclone" in recorded history. Not the first bad winter storm, but the first one to be named that.
Now the sky screamers who aren't smart enough to see how they are being manipulated are in freak out mode because global warming caused it. See what I'm saying?
