Can't/won't answer about the entitlements you receive, can/will you? Typical Leftist Progressive.

I don't receive entitlements. I did answer you.

I repeat:

"I collect: Zero entitlements.

I have been employed for 35 years, here and there. Collected unemployment for 11 weeks after I got out of the Navy. That was 25 years ago."

To reiterate:
How do you subsist between 'here and there'? That is a valid query.

I am currently employed and have been employed in the past.

When I left the Navy, I received unemployment and that is the last time I received unemployment....I'm not retired....I have health insurance through my employer....I have answered your question.

What am I missing? What don't you understand? Why is here and there so confusing to you?

What entitlements do you currently collect? Where have you worked? How many different jobs and careers have you had. Here and there?

You are missing the boat pal. All you need to do is go on the dole and live off the foolish labor of chumps like papa gringo. Roll out of bed on your clock not some slave drivers. Put on some music, toss a fat food stamp steak on the grill fry up some eggs and pull the top off your first ice cold beer of the day. If you are feeling ambitious nothing beats a lazy day of surf fishing. Life is too short to bust your ass for the man, you just end up worn down and old then you realize he stole the best days of your life. There is a river of money running through this country there is no reason to work very hard to drink your fill. Stick it to the man every chance you get, and live your life for you.

Take your home School diploma to Harvard and listen to them laugh

quote=Larry the Legend]It's commonly called 'homeschooling' and it is, as far as I know, legal in every State, though some are worse than others to deal with. And you're absolutely right, homeschooling parents pay for all of their own materials and are responsible for the child's progress, which is indeed measured using standardized State test materials. In addition to the added expenses homeschooling entails, parents are still required to pay the property taxes that are used to fund the public school system even though their children do not attend public school. That's right, they are not only paying to educate their own children, but are being forced to pay for the education of other peoples' children in addition, meaning they pay twice.

How's that for 'positive rights'?[/quote]

Since Harvard is actively seeking homeschoolers; it isn't the homeschooling parents who will hear laughs.

Here is the pertinent paragraph from the Harvard application website:
INFORMATION FOR HOMESCHOOLED STUDENTS
Each applicant to Harvard College is considered with great care and homeschooled applicants are treated the same as all other applicants. There is no special process, but all relevant information about your educational and personal background is welcome. In addition to the application, all applicants are required to submit standardized tests, a transcript (you may create your own), and recommendations. If the application fee presents a hardship for your family, simply request a fee waiver. https://college.harvard.edu/admissions/application-process/application-requirements

Here are a few articles on homeschoolers going to Harvard. The first is from the Harvard Crimson:
http://www.thecrimson.com/article/2017/12/10/homeschool-harvard/

Business Insider:
http://www.businessinsider.com/homeschooling-is-the-new-path-to-harvard-2015-9

"Harvard wants homeschoolers:
Top schools including Harvard, MIT, Duke, Yale, and Stanford are all actively recruiting homeschoolers. These schools don't just grudgingly accept homeschooled students, they do everything they can to get them in the door, recognizing that homeschoolers are often better prepared for college than their brick-and-mortar schooled peers."

There are many more you can find by googling home school and Harvard.

Well Poppa, kinda. I consider unemployment insurance as one of the employer provided benefits, like sick days, employer contribution to Social Security and vacation. When the employer totals up the total cost of an employee, the unemployment insurance is included. So it is included in the employee's compensation package and is included in the cost of the employee to the employer.

But it is still paid by the employer, not the employee.

True. However maybe the employer would be able to pay the employee more... if he wasn't required to pay for the insurance. I'm a libertarian and I like to believe that individuals are able to handle things better than the government. But knowing people the way I do, the less successful folks would probably never buy unemployment insurance and they're the ones who need it. I have never collected it in my entire working career.

No Poppa, if your salary is $20,000 dollars and you employer takes $1,000 Fed... $500 State... $300 Fica.... $200 SS. That is $2000 they would be paying you and your salary would be $22,000 with you to figure out how to do the fines(taxes) which you may have a better way to cover them at a lower cost. It's Like all the BS about corporations paying taxes, they don't, we do in raised costs of goods and services. Lower taxes on corps. and the cost for goods should come down and if they don't all hell will break loose by consumers. Mike
