Thanks. I think that is the answer he was looking for and now a good starting point for further discussion. What do we owe society and country for what we have received and the opportunities we had and the opportunities to work and attain wealth, of a little or a lot. But that is the first time I have ever seen someone from the left answer that question honestly. Lets now move forward.

Yes you made 50 million by employing 2000 people working part time @ 8 bux an hour with no benefits... these people work hard for their money & have no disposable income ... living on less than 1k per Mo... they pay rent, electric & eat... maybe they own a car if they can afford the fuel & insurance... if they get sick they are screwed from loss of wages now that there won't be health care they can afford... In a United country of moral people who should pay more?... The guy making 50 million from the labor he profits from or the people who work hard to survive... One of the big problems is how these politicians spend our money on themselves, special interests, pork, etc and we can't vote them out. They don't really represent the people and we all know it.

Again, Econ 101. The economy was improving under Obama. It was kept at a slow pace so as not to counter-act the stimulus. Too fast a recovery means another rapid decline within a short period of time. A concept that GOPTPers seem to not to be able to comprehend.

And, yes, Obama was good for the country, given the mess he inherited from the Bush 2 administration. I suppose you’ve conveniently forgotten the big tax cut he pushed through, as well as 2 un-funded wars that weren’t counted in the books until Obama put them there; knowing full well it would make his administration look worse. But, it was better than pretending the costs of the 2 wars and the tax cuts were magically paid for. Kinda like the big tax cuts Trumpet and the GOPTP want to award themselves with, no matter much they lie and spin the truth to make you gullible people believe they’re looking out for your well-being.

No one has a right to another persons income but we all pay taxes and once paid they belong to the government not us. If you can't deal with taxes then as I've been telling all the conservatives on this board that Somalia has no government and no taxes. It's a down right conservative Utopia. If you think my response is irrational and fool-hearty, then, I surmise that you’re not a Christian, but an agnostic or an atheist. To call the words of Christ that I quoted, “... irrational and fool-hearty ... ,” isn’t something I would expect a Christian (at least one who has actually read the Bible - particularly the New Testament - from cover to cover, and, understand it, and the message it conveys to anyone, with an open mind) to say.

You are right about one thing, though, God didn’t/doesn’t make stupid people. Stupid people make/made themselves stupid. They do so by denying proven truths and continually repeating lies, half-truths and innuendo over and over and over, again, until the lies, half-truths and innuendo are believed to be truth. This results in a net loss for th society because, in effect, they’re trying to take our country on a backwards course. Also, stupid people staunchly resist the push of a society progressing toward a time and place where everyone is treated as equals and their differences made something to celebrate and used enhance the overall betterment of said society. Instead, the stupid people use those differences to shame, persecute and label others into groups to be feared, mistreated and distrusted because of some made-up meaning about their differences. Without something or someone to fear, ridicule and blame for their concocted sufferings, the stupid people wouldn’t have any clout over the masses, as a whole.
