Egads just wait for it!! It’ll come..
did you read we haven’t had “ climate change” in 28 years now??
Did you also read the Hurricanes we had were the result of change even though their cycle is as predictable as these fires in Cali..
Must admit I wouldn’t own a home there given what takes place each year.. Not an if situation, just a how bad situation..
Just think hell is right around the corner now..
Yeah...and on top of that the Spanish and Portuguese
both warned us that jihadis might be starting fires. How easy is
that?
Richard Henry Dana Jr wrote and published his memoirs in his book “Two Years Before the Mast” published in 1840, having been written after a two-year sea voyage from Boston to California on a merchant ship starting in 1834. Dana arrived in Alta California when it was a province of Mexico, and no longer Spanish colonial Las Californias. He gives descriptions of landing at each of the ports up and down the California coast as they existed then. The ports served (south to north) the Mission San Diego de Alcalá, Mission San Juan Capistrano, Pueblo de Los Angeles (and Mission San Gabriel Arcángel), Mission Santa Barbara (and Presidio of Santa Barbara), Presidio of Monterey, and Presidio of San Francisco.
At each of these ports the description was the same, sun baked, desiccated foliage, desert ecology and evidence of wildfires. It was true in 1830’s and nothing has changed.
I observed the Santa Ynez river (twenty miles north of Santa Barbara) as a dry riverbed until rains came. Then the river suddenly became a raging torrent. A week later it was a dry riverbed again but in the meantime everything had bloomed, grasses turned green and vibrant plant life was everywhere for a two week span. Then it went back to being sere and desiccated.
California has a long history of problems due to lack of water. In modern times, with houses and asphalt pavement covering the potential water sinks, it is not surprising that mudslides are followed by wildfires. This harsh ecology is exacerbated by the presence of so many people.
La Niña causes mostly the opposite effects of El Niño And both wreck havoc on Cali, most in the northern terrain..

So I heard. I'm surprised it hasn't been renamed (yet again) to something 'climate stagnation'. After all, if 'global warming' and 'climate change' were bad, clearly 'climate stagnation' must be bad too, right? I mean, just the sound of it has negative connotations, what with 'stagnation' and all... Then again, maybe I shouldn't post this because it might be giving them the hand they need.

Don't forget the global cooling before that! Damn climate is all over the map!
