Never go to a job and protest. My millenial narccisist grandaughter took that BLM bullcrap to her job. I warned her not to but she didn't listen. See, she knows everything since she's been walking this earth much longer than I have. So, ya know, can't tell her nothing. Well, she got fired and rightly so. Then the NAACP black listed her because she began speaking against the Christian faith. They wasn't having that. So they said bye bye. Moral of the story is don't protest on your job. Leave that crap out in the street. Don't bring it to your job that keeps a roof over your head.

There you have it. Thanks, Betta. Common sense in a nutshell. Maybe so many Liberals don't get it because they don't have jobs to which they CAN take their politics.

How about the right not to be personally insulted by a spoiled brat on a football field? Is that too much to ask? With 'rights' come 'responsibilities'. What burns me is how the team managers and the NFL first tried to ignore it, then tried to placate it and now don't know what to do about it. They're literally like some guy who stands there with his mouth open and a 'thousand yard stare' on his face.

It's pathetic and I'm done with the NFL and professional football in general. They should have come down hard on that pussy Colin Kaepernick and the rest of his band wagon before it got out of hand. They didn't and now it is. Good. Now they can play to empty stadiums and lets see how long they can keep up with these gazillion dollar contracts with no money coming in. They're a bunch of damned fools who brought it on themselves.

Apparently it was the opportunity to have their sacrifice denigrated by ingrates who would probably be in prison if they couldn't play football. Remember the one who was protesting the Constitution of Independence cause it be racist?

Ah, forgot what one does all others of the same group do too, though I really can't see Dak Prescott in prison simply because he wasn't in the NFL...

Why not? It's how you view conservatives.

Why does everything come down to racism with you fools? Why can’t we be patriotic and show some love for the country that’s done so much for us? I used to be a plumber, first an apprentice, then held a masters license, before injuries forced me to make a career change. I now own a pool supply business. I make a tiny fraction of what these pro football players make, I didn’t get a free ride through college, hell, I couldn’t afford to go to college, neither could the kneelers, but they could play football. Now in the NFL they think the rules don’t apply to them and they are bigger than the game. They are employed for millions of dollars, yet they say they are working for the plantation owners, really? They are screwing their bosses and themselves by acting like this, so don’t blame your conservative friends and their glee of watching this great American institution going down, blame your overpayed, spoiled, thug, self centered athletes of any color or race that takes part in this ridiculous show of disrespect for dragging down the NFL. I hope another league like the World Football League comes along next year and puts the NFL out of business. These athletes owe this country at least as much as the rest of us do.

The average NFL player has a career of 3.3 years and makes 1.9 million a year. They get paid even if the stadium is empty. The cost of any boycott is to the billionaire owners, who are mostly republicans. The entire thing is a win win situation.

What I find amazing, Pete, is how you libs can pack so many wrong conclusions into one sentence.

Well, one person certainly does paint the picture for everyone doesn't it--like Jim Brown, Patrick Peterson, Vic Beasley, Anthony Levine Sr, Charles Johnson, Colin Kirkpactric and on and on and on. Now these are simply a few of the black athletes who not only were financially successful after they played but also used that wealth to set up foundations to benefit others.

What does it say about you conservatives that you take joy in destroying the livelihood for thousands of people even though it was only a handful of them offended you? And just what was it that our veterans fought for if not for the right to peacefully protest when one sees injustice?

We didn’t destroy anything!! Your boys made their own choice and destroyed themself so please drop this we did it bs.. Nothing is farthest from the truth..

You are right they fought for the right of peaceful protest and when your boys stayed protesting when told it was viewed against our military they continued their choice so we continued our choice..Seehow that works, Pete ?? They have choices and we do too.. It’s a shame they ruined the sport most held dear to a bonding sport pride of America past time too.. They got a double whammy in their infinite wisdom, let the chips fall where they do and God Bless America...

Betta: I'll bet you and I could square up a company of recruits in record time. Where in hell do these kids get their ideas. This land is full of opportunity. We cannot all get rich but every damned one of us can get a little bit ahead and our children can take it from there.

Be that as it may, the silly little boycott costs the protesting players nothing. In fact a number of them have seen their licensed apparel flying off the shelves purchased by members and supporters of Black Lives Matter.

You're finally correct. I don't know if uppity is the right word. How about stupid? The disrespect they show before, during, and after the game by many of their actions is astounding. If you can't understand how many see kneeling, on purpose, to bring attention to a problem that mostly doesn't exist you're as blind as the players being led by Kapernick. They disrespect each other. They disrespect the owners. They disrespect the fans. They disrespect the military , but say they don't. Most of all the entitled brats have a high percentage that disrespect the laws of the land. And oh yea, they disrespect the police, and without them they couldn't have a game. That seems stupid to me. Great role models for a culture that mostly doesn't have a father in the house hold. Oh well I guess your good with kids being taught to disrespect the police. Which is disrespecting your elders. Also nice that they teach kids it's all about me. You know the ridiculous thumping of the chest. Dancing in the end zone like they just dragged a lion back to the village. Trash talking and belittling a fellow player you just beat. And of course my favorite; punching each other while encased in armor. Maybe stupid isn't the right word. That would be a step up.
