Going to church, even if every Christian would do it, would not create a theocracy. There is no Christian mandate to run the government like there is in Islam. Christianity recognizes itself as separate from government. Islam sees itself as the government.
Besides, the First Amendment forbids all religions from taking over the government. The problem only arises if the religious members dishonor the Constitution. The Islamic religion forbids Muslims from submitting to any government but Islam. No such Christian mandate exists.
