Larry, the excuses part was just a sense of humor. I know I couldn't choose my parents, come on. I was trying to say it's all BS about white privilege!! I grew up lower middle class. I spent 21 yrs in the military and nobody gave me anything I didn't bust my back side for. If you can't get ahead look inward first before blaming me for being white !!

Up your ass, hmm. Is that some kind of compensatory mechanism for your 'white privilege'? Are you subliminally saying that you're not black but you could hint at being 'gay'? You're not an 'ass bandit' are you? You know, a 'mincing gay-boy'?

Nope...just an ex con. I keistered that spoon because it was contraband! Never know when you might need something to trade.

Um...is that white or black privilege?

OK, I'm a convert. I believe in your ability to 'check your white privilege'. So that's one down, only 340 million to go...

No, no. There is no 'black privilege'. That's why 'black lives matter'. You have the 'privilege' so they 'matter'. (I know, believe me, I........ Yeah.)

Oh gee, I only scored 94%. Perhaps I should retake it, trying for 100%.

I don't get it...

Shouldn't a white person get 100% on the test just for being white?

Yep I've had "weenie water soup" but for the most part as I grew older and living on the farm we'd save a beef or hog back from going to sale plus Mom always had a large garden and man would she ever can usually 400 Qt's Kentucky wonder green beans 6 to 7 bu of peaches wild blackberries plus all other things from the garden .

Mom even canned cold packed Beef

Plus Mom would buy 500 baby fryer chicks which we ate and sold for cash when we were working in the field the 4 of us would eat 3 chickens a day chicken and a half for dinner and a chicken and a half for supper .

As I recall I was 10 or 12 before I ever ate store brought bread .

We heated our house with 1 pot bellied stove in the front room and a wood cook stove in the dinning room no running water used a 2 seater outhouse .

I was at my sisters in Calif and we were answering my nephew's questions as to how we were raised and we had that poor kid dying laughing on the floor and my sister told him Uncle Tom is telling ya the truth.
Yep I've had "weenie water soup" but for... (show quote)

I grew up in town as a 'latchkey' kid. My brother, sister, and I mostly raised ourselves. I was shipped south to my aint, and uncles every summer where I worked on the hog farm, and in the peanut fields every day.

Once I had my own family, I moved us to the country as quick as I could. We raised most of our own food, and my kids worked for most everything they got. It made them into good people who work hard, respect others, and appreciate what they have.

Oh, I'm having a ball with this one. I just don't have the words to describe how silly this whole 'privilege' and 'matter' BS is. I get a funny look on my face every time I think about it.

I was a child of a single parent after one parent died before I was 10.

I was lucky enough to live in a neighborhood where we never had to lock our doors. My remaining parent was unable to afford a sitter or daycare for me and my siblings, so we were left to the boundaries of the neighborhood and punishment for violations. Our "Nosey" neighbors kept an eye out for us, and reported what they felt necessary.

It wasn't until decades later that I was told how deprived I was....

Good point. The test doesn't ask for a racial profile, just dives straight into the questions. Asking for a racial profile and weighting the scores in favor of 'privilege' for a white guy would make sense to further their agenda, would it not? Or even just awarding 100% outright for whites because of their obvious 'white privilege' regardless of their actual responses. And what if a black guy takes the test and scores fairly high? Aha! Maybe that's why they don't ask for a racial profile, because it might expose the 'white privilege' in blacks, and that would never do! That would be a terrible blow because 'black lives matter'. Looks like they 'screwed the pooch' on that one.

Arch you're a man after my own heart I say well done with the raising of your kids .
If'n you were close by you'd be one of my closes friends that I'm sure of !

I was fortunate to have both my parents all thru life Mom passed in 2008 Dad followed in 2009 I owe everything that I am as a person all to them.

My Sis and I never came home to an empty house they were either both there or one or the other was always there when we came home from school .

It'll be silver again once I clean it up. Wanna exercise some white privilege?

I'll trade you my silver spoon for two cans of tuna, four ramen soups and a bullet of tobacco!
