When I come to this forum I'm looking for logical, disciplined, factual discussion. I understand that you have your opinion, I can respect that. State your position, state the facts supporting your position and I will be more than willing to have a discussion with you. Even if your views are not the same as mine. We can not come to a solution without there being a respect for each others view. This is supposed to be a civil forum, but once again I see it becoming a place for those that don't want to discuss the issues, but those that want to voice their hate. I thought that ADMIN was going to start monitoring. Was the only reason I came back. Don't see that happening, so I will be leaving this forum again soon. I truly wish that I have to. But, I refuse to associate myself with negative people. There are more negative people here than positive.

PLT, there are many of us who do as your suggest.... but they are ignored by most of the population, so like me, they read the threads and only periodically will provide comments. In support of Admin, their staff is limited (I think there is only one) to read each thread and comment, so don't be too hard on them. You can help them out, report abuse by using the "report issue" button.

It is with sincere respect that I ask you to reconsider your plan to leave. Just patiently look for the reasonable contributors and try (although it is not easy) to ignore the others. Whatever you elect to do, I wish you all the best.

Hey Sarge. I do hope you decide to stick around. With that being said, the grass is not always greener on the other side. When I am reading anything political online and I go down to the comments, oh my goodness. The vulgarity is beyond belief! This site seems to be mild compared to some I've read.

People are passionate about what they believe in and sometimes that passion just has to come out. I'm definitely one of them.

I can honestly say that some on here that I debate and yes, even argue with..I would miss them. I'm saying that with all sincerity. True....we don't agree and sometimes we get downright pissed at each other, but when it comes down to it, most of us ...no matter on what side of the scale we land on, would have each other's backs. Please hang in there with us and stick around...

I agree with you. There are several people to whom I have no responses. They are not worth the bother, or frustration. However, there are a number with whom I can have a reasonable conversation, even though I may not agree with them. Just like the rest of life, I know that ignoring the fools and flakes is necessary in order to maintain what ever sanity I still have left. (that I will leave up to others to judge)

Well, well, well. I knew sooner or later someone would call me out. Sir, you just threw down the glove. I can agree with bout everything you said after you called be coward. I joined one month after High School 1974. We were in Ft Jackson when the Peace Accord was signed, if not, we would have been there. Came out, from 75 to 90, had missions all over the world. Then the first Gulf War, we were in NTC training to go. Back when we had real Generals, the War was over before we got through the training. Then Iraq 04-05. I was PLT Sarge running Escort convoys from Bagdad north on MSR TAMPA. Hemiman, if you don't understand the way I write, then you have not been there. Sir, how many times have you been on a convoy and have one of your vehicles hit by an IED and have to secure the site and recover the bodies. Have you ever seen what a burnt human body looks and smells like ? When I was on POST, I revolved as SOG. I was in charge of defending the gates and towers. Sir, Have you ever been in a Fire Fight with a Mob storming your gate? Have you ever had to see one of your people die ? Have you ever had to recover dead and wounded children. Have you ever had to pick up body parts and try to match them to the person they came from ? I SAID THAT I WAS BOUT TO LEAVE THIS FORUM, NOT BECAUSE I'M A COWARD.
