This morning the Trump administration announced their nominee for HHS Secretary… a long-time pharma exec! Really? When the prices for four of the top ten best-selling drugs in America have seen a 100% increase in the last few years, why not put them in charge of the nation’s top health agency as well!!
Enough. Instead I would like to see the Administration support my bills to (1) allow negotiation for prices under Medicare Part D; (2) bring in less expensive drugs from Canada; and (3) stop the big drug companies from paying off their competitors to keep more affordable drugs off the market.

The drug prices are high, due to laws restricting the import of cheaper drugs, or the manufacture of generic knock-offs getting on the US market. This was done originally to help the drug companies to recoup the costs of R and D. God knows how long these laws have been on the books. They do need repealing, or modifying.
You are now blaming Trump for laws that have been in force for a long time?? WOW! You lefties sure are different animals compared to normal people.

I was not blaming trump, although I am sure he is more then fine with the situation..
As you say, long time in effect.. But the one which burns my end is Plan D of medicare. When Bush put it together thought it was great until I realized no funding and no negotiation for lowering cost..

Gee what did we ever do before big pharma, you act like you have no choices... go find some medical or folklore books and learn about natural stuff that grows wild that you can use to heal or just feel better.
