You can blame this on 45 who, opening his big mouth, automatically biased the judgment of the court. He does not have the power to demand or even suggest a sentence. The court had no choice and, evidently, went in the other direction - completely. For once the AH's mouth served a good purpose. He, even in his ignorance, just can't keep his mouth shut! AND he owns a lot of ignorance not limited to the law of the land.

No, the entire blame rests on the gutless judge. His progressive/liberal self over-powered his sense of duty. That's so obvious it's silly to dwell upon it further, really.

The reason I ask is if he was a military judge I cannt see him getting off. This is like a liberal judges showing who is boss like with the bans. But you are right it is a disgrace just the fact that he stat that islamics were easier then Americans should have put him in a deep hole.

The judge just sentenced him to death and that is justified in my opinion. Mike

A military judge has found that Bowe Bergdahl should serve no prison time for endangering his comrades by walking off his Afghanistan post.

The judge also gave Bergdahl a dishonorable discharge, reduced his rank to private and said he must forfeit pay equal to $1,000 per month for 10 months. The judge made no other comments.

Bergdahl appeared tense, grimaced and clenched his jaw. His attorneys put their arms around him and one patted him on the back.

Bergdahl pleaded guilty to desertion and misbehavior before the enemy and had faced up to life in prison. The judge had wide leeway because Bergdahl made no deal with prosecutors to limit his sentence.

Prosecutors had sought stiff punishment because of wounds to service members who searched for Bergdahl after he disappeared in 2009. He was held captive by Taliban allies for five years.

The defense sought to counter that evidence with testimony about Bergdahl’s suffering during five years as a captive of Taliban allies, his contributions to military intelligence and survival instruction and his mental health problems.

The White House says it has no comment on the sentence given to Bowe Bergdahl for leaving his post in Afghanistan.

Instead, White House officials referred back to a previous statement from several weeks ago.

The statement said President Donald Trump “expects all military personnel who are involved in any way in the military justice process to exercise their independent professional judgment, consistent with applicable laws and regulations.”

A military judge in North Carolina ruled Friday that Bergdahl should serve no prison time for endangering his comrades by walking off his Afghanistan post. The judge also gave Bergdahl a dishonorable discharge, reduced his rank to private and said he must forfeit pay equal to $1,000 per month for 10 months.

I could see giving a lighter sentence given his enemy imprisonment. But this is too much, and deserves an explanation.

Bergdahl's squad leader, former Staff Sgr. Justin Gerleve, said, "I can't really say I blame Bergdahl to the fullest extent," and I assume that the Sgt. has a good idea of the circumstances.

Some of you may know more details than I but it seems that the judge made his call with more info. than we have.

I would like to know facts, like Bergdahl's state of mind at the time of his desertion and to hear his "story", in detail before coming to the conclusions with the level of certainty which some of you have arrived.

Look up the law. That's how I received my info. 45 wanted to see him get the death penalty. When this is stated, that punishment is denied the judge. I personally think the judge was annoyed with 45's ideas and went the exact opposite way. GOOD! ! ! The AH cannot control his mouth and doesn't think before he opens it.

It's a noose he put around his own neck, it is tightening. Depends if his ilk comes to the rescue, you know, the politicians and the medias, FBI, CIA, halls of justice. He has a lot of compadres.

Now private Bergdahl got a very easy retirement from committing treason against the US military. Perhaps stupid enough to understand that when he walked out and sought shelter from the Taliban, he will get an easy life there, and could help the Taliban. Or perhaps he had more sympathy to the Taliban than US Army. There were 10 men on the army who died looking for him.

He got a heroes welcome under Mr. Obama. In exchange for his release, Mr. Obama released the FIVE (5) GITMO AL QAEDA Muslim/Taliban leaders back to the field to fight against the US military. Then Rice and Mr. Obama called Bergdahl a hero.

Mr. Obama presented the parents of Bergdahl to the American people at the WH Garden. Mr. Obama hugged them, and presented them to the world as parents of Bergdahl, the hero. Then the father of Bergdahl then PRAISED ALLAH in Arabic, and Obama was very happy hearing that. He embraced him. Obama's face was so happy after the father praised the Islam god in Arabic. I think the family of Bergdahl is a MUSLIM.

As far as the rest of your drivel, you have no idea about what you blather about.

If Nance would've given Bergdahl the max what the law called for, you liberals would've had a fit. who knows who would've crawled out of the woodwork to protest.

Bergdahl will likely find his 'justice' on a dark street one day and it won't be pretty.
