It's a slippery slope or sure. 20 years ago there was a confraternity called CORPUS. (Corp of reserved priest for sacraments) or something similar to that acronym. They were former Roman priest who left the priesthood for marriage yet continued to feel the call to serve God. The were denied, of course; their numbers then we're about 10,000 so I was told. There are not enough priests today to serve the huge number of congregations. Many have been reduced to Altar priests, praying the daily Mass not even able to make hospital visits. They are being driven to exhaustion. Many have multiple congregations to serve. The prudent thing to do is to bring back those priests and allow others to marry. Unfortunately, the liberals (there are too many Catholics like Nancy Pelosi) would start demanding women priests and the "unnatural" progression after female priests is the demand to legitimize homosexuality and openly homosexual clergy. This is precisely the path most every mainline church that ordained women has followed. Cannot compromise the faith! No, I don't hate women!

It was never meant for priests not to marry. The Levite priests were married and had children. Moses' brother, Aaron, was married and his son Eliazar (sp) was also a Levite priest. The only thing is will priests marry each other. Most priests are homosexual pedophiles so, it's gonna be a toss up.

When you say most priests are homosexual pedophiles you attack Christ who has called men into the sacred priesthood as well as breaking the commandment against false witness. You will have to answer for that sacrilege. Furthermore, are you at all familiar with what St. Paul said inasmuch as it is better not to marry but then gave a reason for a good exception. You might want to search the scriptures for that bit of enlightenment. Having been blissfully married for 55 years, 2 children and 4 grandchildren I am a happy exception.
