If you care to check back, you will notice insults predominantly begin from liberals, most notably tdsnest. It's not "stuck in the past," it's "if it ain't broke, don't fix it."

So that is the source of your resentment. Racism is endemic to the US left center right. How do you figure the Republican party is not racist when following the enactment of the Civil rights act in 1964 by the liberals in both parties and opposed by conservatives in both parties. The southern conservative segregationist began jumping to the Republican party as African Americans began moving to the Democratic party side. My relatives in Oklahoma are all conservative. I'm a black sheep liberal and They don't like me. An older cousin married a Cherokee man and I doubt the family ever recovered from it. It was as though she had married an African American and she was looked down upon until she died. I always felt sorrow for her because I don't see race I only see our species Homo Sapiens and in my mind there is no such thing as an illegal human being

Ve'hoe Its not that conservatives are stupid but it is interesting that all stupid people seem to be conservative. Liberals aren't necessarily of superior intellect. Studies have shown that Conservatives have an oversize Amygdala mass in the Temporal lobe on the brain and is the only known reason liberals and conservatives brains work to the opposite. It has not been debunked. Except by people like Denesh De Souza Ben Shapiro and Mark Levin people on the right that don't like the idea. My take on history is that the switch in party platforms from Democrats being the party of small government to the party of big government and the Republican the party of big government to the party of small government began during the 1890's with the advent of the populist party in 1892. They merged with the Democratic party for the national election of 1896 and by 1936 the platforms had switched except for the south which was still largely Democratic party as it had been since the time of Jeffrson Madison Monroe and Jackson. by 1970 in response to the cultural shock of the 1960's the south began jumping ship and by 1980 the Democratic party had become the liberal party and the Republican the conservative party. The last liberal in the Republican party was VP to President Ford Nelson Rockefeller and since then even moderates have been purged from that party

Of course the democratic party was the Party of the south the KKK and Jim Crow but in the 1950's and sixties both parties had three wings right center and left. Liberals from both parties voted for civil rights and conservatives from both parties voted no. LBJ was sent by the state of Texas to Washington DC to oppose civil rights but by 1958 realized it was inevitable and switched to supporting the Bill. Sen Barry Goldwater was the leading conservative in those days and vote against it
