Conversations we're NOT having

We've heard time and again about how the Congress is not doing it's job. We've heard criticism from the White House that Republicans in the Congress are not doing what they were elected to do, or rather, not doing what "the American people elected the President" to do. The conversation we're not having, is about the fact that there are Democrats in the House and Senate............who likewise represent the interests of American citizens. Another conversation we're not having, is the fact the Democrats and Republicans combined...............represent only 44% of the population. The American people consist of more than Republicans, so these conversations about how the elected folks are not doing what the Republican electorate wants, is dismissive of the other 78% of the American people. The conversations about how the elected Democrats are being sidelined, is dismissive of the other 56% of the population that is neither Republican nor Democrat. Any statements beginning with " the American people...." are patently false from the get go. The majority of American people are not being represented at all, so statements on their behalf are outright lies, Democrats and republicans can not force everyone to conform to their agenda's...................but they damn sure try.

Another conversation we're not having, is about why talk of spending always includes Medicare and Social Security - but NEVER includes revenues generated by payroll deductions, which must be subtracted from expenditures in order to determine exactly how much in general revenues are required - if any. Those politicians upset about the amount in interest payments to the SS trust fund, can easily fix that problem - by not borrowing from the trust fund. As it is, it will take the treasury at least 20 years to pay off it's CURRENT liabilities to the trust fund. No mention is made about how much revenue Medicare takes in from payroll deductions, or premium payments. No mention is made about how much revenue Social Security makes from payroll deductions, interest payments, or taxes paid on SS disbursements. In short, treating trust fund payments as general revenue, then complaining about the budget liability of paying those funds back, is disingenuous at best, a down right con at worst. Those funds do NOT belong to the treasury, they belong to the people who made the payments, it's THEIR money............and no politician has the right to complain about having to pay the people back - with their own money.

We're not having conversations about States that complain about Federal overreach, who then ask the Federal government to reach into the homes of the people in their States, to dictate their behavior. We're not talking about States that criticize the Government for spending money, then run to that same government with their hands out when some bad stuff happens to THEM.

We are letting people speak for ALL of us, who have no right to do so. The premise that once an election is in the bag, those folks who's representatives lost are SOL, is false and patently un-Constitutional. The House of Representatives must represent ALL of the constituency, not just those of the party they belong to. The senate must represent ALL the people in their States, not just those in the party they are members of. The President of the United States must represent ALL the citizens of America - not just those that voted for him. Any thing less than what I've just outlined is un-Constitutional, Un-American...............and just plain wrong...............but we're not talking about it.

The problem is not who represents us.
The problem is who is mis-representing us by submitting, voting for and enacting legislation that is (or was) unconstitutional to begin with.
Not to mention deficit spending.

We're also not talking about how Obammy skated through eight years of NOT representing ALL the citizens of America.

And you lefties don't like to talk about the fact that Obammy's love for the Queer Community eclipsed his representation of the Black Community.

You don't like to talk about how the Black Community received absolutely no benefit from the first Black president in US history.

Yep, Obama's bad behavior certainly deserves a 2nd chapter with a different President, you know, just to keep things fair.

I really think we'd be better off doing something different for a change, since 150 years of the crap we've been doing ain't worked so good.

BTW, Obama is only half black..................and he pissed of half the black folks and half the white folks, so I think he did a fair job, don't you?

Obammy did a fair job of bowing and kowtowing.

And he did a fine job of wussifying a remarkable number of American males.

We're not talking about how atheists got prayer kicked out of schools and schools are creating safe spaces and Muslim prayer rooms and teaching Muslim religion with our tax dollars.
We're not talking about teachers injecting their political bias into the classroom instead of teaching the students that they are supposed to teach.
We're not talking about bullying of students by teachers when the students don't agree with the teacher, been around a while automatic fail if student doesn't agree or comply with teacher's view.
We're not talking about the loss of debate skills, when name calling results instead of sticking to the issues-pro or con.
We're not talking about how we can be proactive to help others, and not by protesting.
We're not talking about how we can "get up off that thing" and make a real difference, starting with one person, family, neighborhood, block, town, county, state, region.
We're not talking about how we should be paying our blessings forward.
We're not talking about how we need to find something positive about each day.
We're not talking about how sharing a smile can make someone's day.
We're not talking about how " "I' need to make a difference in someone's life today" and going forth and doing so.
We're not talking about how something we have in excess can help another and going about giving it away.

What's your "we're not talking about" trigger phrase?
