Thanks Bevos. Looks like there is someone out there who gets as riled up as I do when it comes to contempt toward America. My husband was a very patriotic sailor and I loved him with all my heart. The only things I can do for him now, for he passed five years ago, is honor and protect, as much as I can, what was of importance to him. My avatar is part of that - he served aboard the Hazelwood, during the Cuban missile crisis. He was so proud of his service - almost as proud as I was, and will always be, proud of him. My grandparents also instilled in me my devotion to America. they were immigrants from Italy and literally kissed the ground when they were accepted here. Their devotion was such that our beautiful flag flew for every national holiday.

So what has happened to us Bevos? What happened to our citizens post 9/11/01? It was inspirational to see flags flying everywhere, even from cars, with no hatred, no bias toward race or religion, and nothing but gratitude toward the police, firefighters, and first responders. All those courageous souls who entered those burning buildings TO HELP while the rest of us ran as fast as we could AWAY FROM that cloud of smoke, dust, and incinerated bodies. Both of my sons worked in N.Y. - my youngest, a mere block away from the WTC. He was chased by that ominous cloud and, though he returned to me, (Thank God), he was never the same. He said he would never forget the sound of the planes as they hit the towers, nor would he ever forget the sound of the people who, in desperation, jumped from the buildings.

So how did we get from that populace, UNITED in one cause, to this division in which we have become so angry with each other? When I consider what changed us, what brought us from American allegiance to alienation, I remember the words and actions of a man who expressed his disdain for our country and who mentioned, in word and deed, his fealty to an ideology contrary to ours!!! It was Obama, who spent TWENTY YEARS in a church whose Rev. spewed "God Damn America"; Obama who proclaimed: "I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction;" and who launched the fund raising for his Presidential campaign in the home of Bill Ayers, a leader of the Weatherman underground terrorism organization, who posed for the front page of Chicago Magazine STOMPING ON THE AMERICAN FLAG. Ayers and his comrades bombed the Pentagon, the Capitol, and a Police Station, and then Ayers had the temerity to remark that he was sorry he COULDN'T DO MORE!! It was Obama who APOLOGIZED for America in foreign lands, in front of foreign leaders; who BOWED before foreign leaders; who stood with his hands clasped by his crotch while the National Anthem was being played, yet declared the MUSLIM call to prayer as "one of the prettiest sounds on earth." Obama recited it to me, with a "first rate (Arabic) accent" said Nicholas Kristof, during an interview which was published in the New York Times. The translation of the call to prayer:

"Allah is supreme, Allah is supreme, Allah is supreme, Allah is supreme. I witness that there is NO GOD BUT ALLAH." (How's that for a professed Christian?)

"There have been times where America has shown arrogance and been dismissive, even derisive." (April, 2009 - Strasbourg - in front of 2000 French and Germans)

"I also believe that all too often our government made decisions based on FEAR rather than foresight; that all too often our government TRIMMED FACTS AND EVIDENCE to fit ideological predispositions." (May 21, 2009 - Remarks by Obama on National Security)

Think about that last, vile Obama quote. Is there one other Head of State that would define their country as cowardly, corrupt and culpable? It's SHAMEFUL!!

Is there any wonder that the Pledge of Allegiance to America and her National Anthem has been so degraded and why we have to fight to restore it. How about some PRO-American protests for a change? If we can't walk in a protest demonstration, how about bombarding our representatives with correspondence demanding respect for our iconic symbols? We shouldn't just complain. Let Trump know that using the First Amendment to allow desecration of the flag and disrespect of our pledge and National Anthem is ludicrous, even illegal. Referring to the Rees Lloyd ~ Oct 2, 2017 ~ News With Views - article which Don Dinsdale posted may just be what is needed. Trump's sincere allegiance may be our last chance.

Its all a well planned, well orchestrated series of events planned by souless billionaire elitist and their lucerfian followers. In the end, its about raw, unbridled power and greed. Its always about the money!

The progressives believe they are bigger than God. The left believes they should run the world and anyone who does not submit to them must be exterminated. The direction this country is heading after the last 16 years specifically is horrifying. Right is wrong, wrong is right, up is down, down is up.
Unfortunately we will have to endure and persevere quite a bit as the left lies and deceives their way to take permanent control over the masses.

Never, ever give up. Always push for what is right, not what is popular. Your post is spot on! I am glad to hear your son survived on 911. Could not imagine witnessing all that in person.

When you mentioned the left "taking PERMANENT control over the masses,"I got somewhat anxious, but you posted all I wanted to say in your next sentence. BRAVO!!! Yes, we must never give up. It's difficult to bring others to your point of view when the competition promises free this and free that while we are the ones expected to pay for it.

The Obamacare architect, Jonathan Gruber deceived the American people by "torturing" (his word) Obamacare to such an extent that the costs of Obamacare were concealed. As a tribute to this fraud, Obama was presented with the "Lie Of The Year" award for the "You can keep your doctor and insurance" hoax. And where are all those folks who were supposed to get a windfall of $2,500 from Obamacare?

There is also a you tube video in which you could actually hear Gruber accuse Americans of being "stupid" with his own lips. "Lack of transparency is a huge political advantage,” Gruber said. "And basically, call it the stupidity of the American voter or whatever, but basically that was really, really critical for the thing to pass."

This MIT brain trust could certainly use more discipline. What government official would call the American people "STUPID" while he's being videotaped? Did he really think he'd get away with that? Or did he think at all?

These guys consider themselves so intellectually superior, they don't know the first thing about COMMON SENSE.

And the silence from the hypocrites on the left was deafening! The left lies and deceives in everything they do. They slither like snakes in the grass. Lying is not immoral to them because they have no morals to begin with. I feel sorry for the millions of gullible people who follow these faux politicians in the Democrat party as well as their neocon Rino pals in the GOP. We will see how all this plays out.

It's going to be us conservatives that will need to create the counter culture movement to this anything goes liberal push towards the New World Order. We must push back against everything they try inflict on us!

YES!! YES!! YES!! I feel exactly as you do. "Adopt their strategies - not the LOW CLASS ATTACKS!!" I always think - Are these demonstrations funded? Is that why we always seem to be defending a position which should be praised rather than protested? Is it that liberal professors in the colleges are proselytizing our young adults. Are we paying thousands for our children to be taught and influenced by strangers who values, morals and ethics are far removed from our own?

Published in Econ Journal Watch, the study looks at faculty voter registration at 40 leading universities and finds that, out of 7,243 professors, Democrats outnumber Republicans 3,623 to 314, or by a ratio of 11 1/2 to 1.

The study comes after a tumultuous few years at American colleges and universities, marked by campus race protests and the disinvitation of conservative speakers.
How edifying!!! Students are even denied the opportunity of hearing opposing points of view - another partisan prejudice which should be remedied. There was a time when politics were not such a hot button issue, as it is now, and when professors' occupation was to instruct - not indoctrinate.
