I agree about the antacid thing. I needed to own stock in Rolaids before I upped my chilies intake but I hold them to the lower heat versions. Like you, I have no indigestion problems and it's probably because of the capstasan. Mike

I must be one of the unusual people who can tolerate these hot chili's and really enjoy them. I eat habaneros regularly and jalapenos are like candy to me. We have a Mexican restaurant (Ted's Escondido) near us that has the absolute best habanero salsa they bring with the chips, queso, and red salsa. They also have one they call Atomic Salsa which is very flavorful, but isn't very hot at all. The habanero salsa has a lot of flavor even though it is quite hot. I also make my own salsa, but I use several kinds of chili's including ripe (red) Serrano, ripe (red) jalapeno, ripe (orange) habanero, and ripe (red or orange) ghost peppers. I haven't tried the Trinidad Scorpion or Carolina Reapers yet. Haven't eaten a raw ghost pepper either, I know that one is going to be too hot by itself. I saw a video of a crazy red-neck eat 5 ghost peppers in a row then down a fifth of Fire Ball liquor. He then tried to drink a gallon of milk as he cursed, cried, and puked. I don't know what kind of idiot would try that and to post it on YouTube as well. Guess he just wanted his few minutes of fame. And in case anyone is wondering, I don't have to eat antacids or take pepto. In fact I don't have any stomach problems. I did years ago, but that was before I started eating the really hot chili peppers. They do have one benefit, they give you one heckuva endorphin rush from the heat.

It's going to be a really long time before I can get up to the Carolina Reaper and I'm not quite ready yet to try eating ghost peppers. I do have ghost pepper flakes and Trinidad Scorpion pepper flakes, both of which I got from Amazon. I just use them for seasonings in chili and other dishes, but I can only put them in the part I'm going to eat as my wife can't handle any of the hot stuff.
