Before my joining, there were the following wonderful people; BearK[our ever saintly house mother], bahmer [one of the kindest individuals you will meet]; oldroy [out midwestern retired teacher with Mrs. OR]; Loki [famous for many things (some we can think of, others we will refrain from thinking about] Worried for Our Children [our northern youngster]; My Alex [who I miss to this day and who left an empty unfillable place]. Then along came AuntiE. All of the aforementioned people made me so welcome and gave me great help in learning the ins and outs of the site. Things became more fun with the advent of Pennylynn, followed quickly by our own PoppaGringo [he of the distinguished elegance and discretion]. Things went down hill on August 11, as the glutton arrived. We all know of whom I speak. However, things went back uphill with the arrival of ArchieB and the ever delightful blonde Mrs.B [on occasion]. We, also, were fortunate to gain the wonderfully polite baker of cakes, LindaJoy.
That is the original cast of our four year anniversary party. We have had other delightfully wonderful people join us.
In celebration of our four year anniversary, I found a venue. It is that time. Yes, swimming, imbibing and food for all. The staff awaits arrival of the celebrants.

I was there before you chose it, and am imbibing and eating as I type.
BTW, is "uphil" similar to "uphill?"

We are lucky that is the only error. My technology froze twice while creating the topic.
By the way, the staff is providing you...

Four years? Gee, I guess it has been that long.
The food looks great, but is there any Texas made liquor on that shelf? I'm kinda particular ya know!
Can we bring our 4 footers if I leave the horse at home? We have a new pup who needs to learn how to do cannonballs off of the balcony.

Only 20 more weeks or so 'til I hit the 4-year mark. Will my invitation be forthcoming at that time?
While 20 weeks is too long to marinate the ribs I will happily grill for the group, it does give me time to pick out a new bathing suit (or get in good enough shape that one will not be required
)

Bathing suits are REQUIRED Paul!
Ain't none of us young anymore!
OPP has indeed been blessed with those you mentioned as well as those who teach us the value of our friends and family.
I miss those wonderful people who used to share this space with us, their advice and insight. Many became family and the passing of Alex left a very large hole that can not nor do I think, should be filled. I am grateful for those I do not agree with for they send me to research and with that I learn. I am delighted that Rumitoid has once again returned to share his views.
I have a list of individuals that I follow each and every post and comment they make. On my list of course you are the forerunner, you earned my respect and you helped me through some tough times. Archie, Loki, Oldroy, WFOC and SWMBO, bahmer, and Papa.... and I am sure that I am leaving other distinguished men and women off because I am getting old and names sometimes escape me, not because they have not left an indelible footprint on my heart and mind.
Salute my brothers and sisters... I hope this year will bring us more members to OPP who next year we can toast their arrival.
I am over here at the most excellent selection at the salad bar, so mosey on over and say howdy!

Vegan, not by choice but by necessity. Bring your plate of your favorite chow and sit a spell!

We just arrived with Tank, Chaos and Zeus so your new puppy will have his elders to show him the ropes and the other toys for dogs. Mr and Mrs Toad are here but left all the children at home in the creek to fend for themselves.

Welcome to our celebratory event!!!
The staff has been directed to keep salads prepared. Many, amongst us, enjoy them.

One is not rude to an original member...or else.
If we are bringing our 4 legged family, can I bring my newest?
Welcome NPP... I knew there were names I failed to put on my list! It has been an interesting 4 years, and you have made my day many times!

Thank you. It has been too long between events... or perhaps I just missed them. Anyway, thank you for the warm welcome.
