Ok salty, I have no problem with a protest, however inappropriate it may be and however much the NFL will turn their heads to allow it. That being said, what is it, exactly, they are protesting?

They are protesting racial injustice and the escalating trend of unarmed blacks being murdered by white police officers; while complying with police directions, while running away, while leaving a party in a car. Even in the era of police body and dashboard cams, where white police are recorded shooting without cause and still getting off Scot free.

What i see is a bunch of snot nosed kids that do not have a clue on how to protest. All they had to do was have the announcer come over the loud speaker and tell everyone what they were going to do either before the anthem or right after the anthem and it would have gotten rave reviews instead of the shit they got. They did not have to disrespect the national anthem to get what they wanted. Now everyone looks at them like they are trash, so they did not achieve what they intended. I'm really glad that they showed their asses like a bunch of kids to show how immature that they really are. If they had kneeled before the anthem and then stood for the anthem theywould have been way better off. Just my opinion.

How does blacks helping the slave trade some 200 years ago perpetuate that racism and inequality that is still rampant and painfully obvious today? What outrage did you have for the Jewish descendants of the Holocaust who were paid 100 billion in reparations for the atrocities their ancestors suffered in another country? Fact is, slavery was wrong - no matter who started or participated in it. America is just too cowardly to admit it and do something positive to correct the lingering effects - why? Because there are still many who hold onto that 'plantation slave owner mentality' and continue to tell themselves 'that's the way its supposed to be.' BS.....and you know it. BTW - seeing that my people built this country and created the majority of useful inventions still being used to this day - you and no one else has the right to tell me to go back to anywhere. What country did your family come from? Perhaps YOU should go back there!

If a certain Obiwan Butthurt is the one doing the jumping, I would have to say yes.

Your so-called facts are irrelevant to actual experience and emotional feeling. No, I was never a slave in the sense of slavery that my ancestors endured, but I still have the residual effects of racism and hate (from people who think - or refuse to "think" like you), and that's obviously more than you could ever understand. As usual, your total lack of feeling for anything other than yourself is pathetic.......which makes it an exercise in futility to even converse with you. I really do hope you get some help for that lack of self esteem and the other mental issues that keep you friendless, alone, and suffering in the dark. Good luck!

I never said NO white person could understand -that is your limited and selective vision and lack of comprehension skills working against you as usual. I gratefully applaud the many white people who knew that slavery was wrong and worked to abolish it. You have chosen to be the Devil's Advocate because somewhere along the way your mind was poisoned with hate. Nevertheless, I still pray for you because only God can help a person with your serious mental issues.

Your argument is a complete red herring. First of all, how many of those who are kneeling during the anthem have a clue about the third verse? I never heard it before until now, and I'd be willing to bet that 99% of the population has never heard it either. And it's irrelevant anyway, because the idea of standing for the anthem has nothing to do with the country's history of slavery or racism, it's about showing respect for the country as a whole and the ideals for which it stands.

Nonsense. The vast majority probably have no clue why they're kneeling, but are merely jumping on the bandwagon of being cool social justice warriors who want to rebel against the "white" establishment. And if they took a moment to think about just how much the "white" establishment has given them they wouldn't think twice about standing for the anthem.

Do you know why they are getting off "scott free"?

It's usual for the law enforcement agencies to determine that the shooting did not violate "departmental policy"

on the use of deadly force by an officer. Who do you suppose sets "departmental policy" on the use of deadly force?

Who approves "departmental policy" on the use of deadly force? Why is the public kept in the dark as to what these

"departmental policies are?

You have to figure out what the problem is, before you can find a solution.

Semper Fi.

Kevyn, Good point, I think kneeling is a respectful way to protest. I as a veteran have no problem. Sometimes we have to remind ourselves that an American flag is a symbol. Free people have a right to protest anyway they see fit, it's their flag too!

Yes, its their flag that they burn in the face of veterans. All of you need to just get the fck out before the shooting starts. We have now been pushed to the end and you have become a direct threat to our famalies and our comunities. All of you on the left are viewed as enemy combatants.

It figures you don't know the difference between kneeling in prayer verses kneeling to the Flag Of the United States of America.

So here it is stupid, plain and simple.

You kneel in prayer or bow you head to honor God as your Master and savior.

You Stand and Pledge your self, by putting your hand over your heart, to show solidarity and loyalty,
to the flag, as it represents you country, and the men/women that has given you the very freedom of which you enjoy in this country.

The united States of American is not your God, master, or savior. Therefor you don't bow to it, or kneel to it. It is your home, of which you and the people that have came before you built. And in so doing, many have laid down there very lives in doing so. Your Country is not a political pawn. And the American Flag is not a rage to burnt or spat upon. More that anything else, it is a symbolic testament to the ones that proudly built, support, and defend it. That flag represents the very people that make up the citizens of this nation.

Kneeling to our flag, is the same as disrespecting everyone that has given there all, to allow us, to live in a country that we can share in its bounty, its prosperity, its goodness and above all its freedom.

No other country on the face of this earth, has been able to do what the people of this, nation has been able to accomplish. And this is what our flag represents to most all of its citizens.

You and your ilk, think and practice, a form of disrespect to our nations symbol, that is hateful and repugnant to all who witness it.

Now you want to make it about God. I am very surprised, he don 't strike you down where you stand.

You are the lowest of the low. A cancer that needs to be, cut out of the nations body and destroyed.
