NFLplayer PatTillman joined U.S. Army in 2002. He was killed in action 2004. He fought 4our country/freedom. #StandForOurAnthem #BoycottNFL

During his unhinged Twitter ranting about the NFL, Colin Kaepernick and standing or kneeling for the national anthem, Donald Trump retweeted this meme to his followers, a meme that came from a random MAGA Trump follower on Twitter:

Pat Tillman is the former NFL player who left the league and a lucrative contract after 9/11 to join the U.S. Army Rangers. He became disillusioned with U.S. war efforts after serving in Iraq, a war he described to friends as "fucking illegal.” Tillman was later killed by “friendly fire” while he was deployed in Afghanistan and the Pentagon initially tried to cover it up. After seeing the image of her fallen husband going viral, under the pretext that he would’ve supported Donald Trump and/or would’ve disapproved of players deciding to kneel, Marie Tillman has had enough, publicly asking the president and others to stop using her fallen husband's image and memory for political purposes:

On Monday night, Pat's widow Marie Tillman shared this statement with me. She has been sharply critical of the president in the past. She is hoping this statement reaches him.
"As a football player and soldier, Pat inspired countless Americans to unify," Tillman wrote. "It is my hope that his memory should always remind people that we must come together. Pat’s service, along with that of every man and woman's service, should never be politicized in a way that divides us. We are too great of a country for that. Those that serve fight for the American ideals of freedom, justice and democracy. They and their families know the cost of that fight. I know the very personal costs in a way I feel acutely every day."
Tillman added: "The very action of self expression and the freedom to speak from one’s heart — no matter those views — is what Pat and so many other Americans have given their lives for. Even if they didn’t always agree with those views. It is my sincere hope that our leaders both understand and learn from the lessons of Pat's life and death, and also those of so many other brave Americans."

Threadd : ' Purpose of the protest '
My ' take' on this , for what it's worth, which wouldn't by you a 10 cent cigar is as follows:
1. Kasperick was wearing a pair of socks in a picture depicting cops as ' pigs'.
I assume this depicts the wrongful killing of black people by cops.
2. Kasperick is seen wearing a t-shirt supporting Marxism/socialism/communism in Cuba.
so, what the hell statement is he trying to make?

As for me, ( US Army '61-'64 RA} I served my country. My father in Navy SeaBees was on Iwo Jima in WWII, we BOTH served our country honorably.
The internet, from which I obtain most all my ' Intel' has opened my eyes.
First we hear that the ' Gulf of Tonkin' never happened.
Many Americans hi-tailed it to Canada or Mexico, as I recall the 'protests' made about Nam by guys younger than I who had not 'served'.
I was back Stateside in '65 when Nam got "HOT".
JFK wanted out of Viet Nam, he got assassinated 11-22-63 in Dallas...
{ He also wanted to dis-band the CIA and get away from the Federal Reserve who we owe $20 Trillion buck to now}

On 4/19/93 the Waco Incident occurred and Branch Dividians murdered. { Feds brought a tank in and burned them out kids and all}

Then on 4/19/95, two years later to the day, we had the ' imploding of the Murrah Federal Building in OKC killing some 168 men,women and children.
It was done with a fertilizer truck as told, but a A Bomb planted inside the structure. Photos show the debris blown outward, not inward.

Then comes 9-11-01 WTC in NYC. I saw Bldg #7 freefall into it's own footprint. Again blown up with Thermite as were the WTC buildings.
No aircraft hit building#7. { a mere 6 weeks later the NDAA aka " patriot Act" was put in effect by Bush}

Then we attacked Iraq who was not involved in 9-11.
We were told a dude in a cave in Afghanistan with a cell phone orchestrated 9-11. Yeah-right!
Then comes weapons supplied via Libya to ISIS in Syria and the death of 4 good Americans while
Hell-ary is on her cell phone building the ' Clinton Fund"and too damn busy to prevent 4 good Americans deaths.
Now we hear some 22 good men return stateside and commit suicide each day upon returning from Iraq and Afghanistan. Nice Huh!

IMHO if someone wants to ' Protest' what our 'Gubment' has and is doing it sure as hell ain't BLM.

Obviously, we all need to be protesting, but as long as we fight each other they will keep getting away with it.

Roger that.
This divide and conquer is part of the Saul Alinsky plan to change our country into a Communist nation
Black vs White; Rich vs poor.
It's one of the 8 steps when you really study the plan. Honestly it's all coming together. This promotes division and dissension among the people...(:
