Oh, yes; reminds me of my years on a minesweeper (5 total). They are small, made of wood, and covered in fiberglass; it did not take much of a sea state to get that effect on the bow or fantail--pretty much anything over a SS 3 would halt our mine countermeasure ops and we would batten down the hatches. A real storm would have us strapping in--in Combat Information Center, all chairs had seatbelt, so that if a mine went off we wouldn't crack our skulls on the overhead. My submarine years were calmer; once we got to the dive point, we would submerge and get to a depth so that surface weather didn't matter.
