Yes it does. I'm afraid We're going to have to get a lot tougher then we are. Writing and emailing our reps doesn't seem to be working. Washington is so entrenched in a slime swamp and protecting their cushy jobs they could give a crap about us...

You're so right! Letters and e-mails can be easily ignored, however VOTES can not!

I have long said that if the American Voters payed half as much attention to politics, as we do to football season,

the country, and perhaps the world, would not be in the mess we are in today!

Perhaps President Trump will help to put things in their proper perspective.

I agree votes do count. But our President has to deal with a huge issue of voter fraud.

Voter fraud. Oh my goodness, say it isn't so. There is no such thing voter fraud. If you don't believe it, just ask any of those convicted of it.

Why are the Alt-right protesting the removal of the statue of Robert E Lee--because it is a symbol of Right-wing nationalism. What I would like to know is what relevant history we are learning from a statue in a park? Did Germany lose any of their history because there are no statues of Hitler and his Nazi cronies in their parks? Perhaps we should stop looking for history in our parks and start looking for it in our books...

Petey, my answer to you would have to be you people haven't rewritten all the history books, yet, so maybe you better not be suggesting that.

Nor would history suffer if MLK's name and photos were removed from streets, schools, freeways, Blvd's, and other public buildings.

Oh chit o dear, Poppa we can't remove all those things and change the names of streets, bridges, schools, etc because King wasn't white. These days it is only whites we do those things to and against.

It's because they are not white supremacist or KKK. They are regular people for the most part fed up with this BS. In new Orleans they took down a bunch of Southern Civil War statues and people were pissed. Did them no good. It was to be a peaceful protest in Charlottesville by people who are sick and tired of this crap being shoved down our throats. It became violent when the leftist showed up and began throwing stuff. Of course if you go by what the media reports, you'd believe just the opposite Mike

Just a question on this. They're calling the protesters white supremacist or white nationalists. If this is the case, then why are they protesting the removal of the Robert E Lee statue? He was a southern general. So I'm not sure why they are calling them that. I believe they are protesting the fact that an important part of our history is going to be removed. How do we learn if we do not have history to learn from.

Any takers on this question? If your only coming on this thread to call names. Please stay home. Thx for your consideration.....

Robert E. Lee did not start with the Confederacy until he realized that Virginia (his home) was to be sacked hence he commanded The Army of Northern Virginia. He fought for Virginia and States rights. Like I told you before, Eat Shit and die! Mike

kankune, They show KKK, and nazi signs. To me thats a fair piece of evidence. Lee was considered a traitor in his own time, why not now?He wasn't a southern general, he was a confederate general, and a former officer of the US army. He did more than give aid and comfort to a domestic enemy, he led an army against the American flag, and was responsible for thousands of deaths of American servicemen. Tearing down Lee's statue isn't erasing US history, it's correcting it. The only place confederate icons like Lee should be seen, is in history books, calendars and maybe Civil War battlefields.
