I bothered to look up the story. Sounds like a local town council was pushy early on and later they offered him money to move and it was never enough and he kept raising his price and finally he went off on his mission, Then killed him self inside the killdozer. A little wrong on both sides and finally he blew up and that is what you get when governments don't work with everybody from the get go.
I would say Marvin was beyond pissed!
