I find it hard to disagree with your definitions of the radical liberals who occupy this board, I also support our freedoms as Americans and support their right to rant, obfuscate, lie and generally make fools of themselves.

So. If we were to segregate them out of our posts, would we be no better than them?

The ignore can be used to block real debate, and protects those that want to hide behind it.
IMO; a tool used by liberals for the most part. After all it is hard to defend their positions. (glaucon for one)
It is a shame that there are those here that can't defend their beliefs with sound debate.

Don Dimwit blocks all who do not agree with him. He posts right wing lies but does not want to ever be challenged.

How can it be used to block real debate, when the people I block are incapable of real debate?

Yep, that's the way I see it. Rather dominating, frankly.

Because others think you are openly debating, when in fact you are closed.
Libs like that trick. You do also?

I have never blocked someone simply for disagreeing with me. I block them only after they have proven to be incapable of honest debate. I also blocked some of them because I simply don't like them. Nothing wrong with that.

Yep; but that is liberal's bail out. Welcome to their club.
IMO; All who use it should be identified, so people know it is a closed debate.

So, are you claiming that someone who is verbally abusive, as well as being a blithering idiot should have the freedom to post on my threads? Is that what you are saying? And explain to me, please, how blocking someone who is disruptive from my threads is a closed debate.

Because, the closure is in secret. You may use it for legitimate purposes, but libs use it to block legitimate debate. Glaucon in particular.
People then think the topic is being legitimately debated.

Kinda like how then MSM operates.

Good suggestion. You can lead the way by reading this very revealing article about facts and lies.

Then you give us politico as a source. What a false narrative to be had. If they ever said anything nice about what President Trump has done I, along with others, would be shocked down to the core. Just another liberal view point of little consequence.

You people are goofy its conservatives who have it all backasswards You watch fox because they give you news and opinion that agrees with your preconceived notions of the way thins should be in your opinion. Could please show me a list of 10 things conservatives have ever done to advance civilization and improve the lives of the average citizens

You want ten things? Let's start with the Pilgrims:
1. They abolished their enforced communal system and adopted a free enterprise system 200 years before Marx came into the world;
2. The Founding Fathers of our country fought for and gave us a country and constitution free from British monetary script;
3. The principle of "freedom from government for all men, regardless of skin color," gave us men like Lincoln and others who prevailed by war against the slve owners, the precursors of today's "leftist democrat party;"
4. The freedom to own a Bible, the book of ideas as well as theology, which in Europe meant death if you were caught owning one, has been instrumental in bringing ideas like "ether for sleep during surgery."
5. Great Scientist, like Tesla, whose genius gave us alternating current, was possible over here as compared to the restrictions in his country of origin;
6. The freedom to invent without government interference has been made possible to advance civilization here to the benefit of the world.
7. Owning land to do individual farming is a "conservative" idea. Both Israel and Cuba need outside help to survive because "farming" is beneath them.

I hope you get the picture. Within the context of "freedom," a person can read on and on about how grateful those who come from enslaving governmental systems have it in America. This is thanks to "conservatives."

I also agree with most of what you say. but most Democrats opposed both the 1964 and 1965 acts you have stated. Also most of the other acts had agreement by both parties and when have either party ever agreed to a balanced budget. The only one was when the Republicans forced bill Clinton into having a balanced budget when the Republicans had control of the House. For guaranteed student loans I believe that has led to the higher cost of college education. The universities have used that money to up grade their institutions not their ability to educate the students at a higher standard. Just look at what they are offering as classes now. There are so many that do not help the student to achieve a job upon graduation. However I do believe it has helped some students that are in school to learn but not those that are there to only socialize at the expense of the government which many of them have not and will not repay those loans. As for that point there are many in the federal government that own money for their student loans and have never paid a dime back. But that is just another point to bring up later.
