I don't know how many OPP posters are dog show people, but this health warning came from the AKC today. If you have friends who show dogs, you might want to tell them about it.
CANINE INFLUENZA NOTICE - PER AKC MAY 25TH, 2017
We have received notice of confirmed cases of canine influenza in dogs that were at Perry, Georgia and Florida events in the past 7-14 days. If you were at those events, please monitor your dog's closely. The virus has an incubation period of 2-5 days and these dogs may be shedding the virus while showing no signs. Dogs with fevers, poor appetites, coughing, sneezing, runny eyes/noses should NOT be exposed to other dogs or people. If you believe your dog is ill or exhibiting symptoms, the best option is to seek medical attention and refrain from bringing the dog out in public until they are medically cleared by your veterinarian.
