A woman takes her 16-year-old daughter to the doctor. "Okay, Mrs. Jones, what's the problem?"
The mother says, "It's my daughter, Debbie. She keeps getting these cravings, she's putting on weight, and she is sick most mornings."
The doctor gives Debbie a good examination, then turns to the mother and says, "Well, I don't know how to tell you this, but your Debbie is pregnant--about four months would be my guess."
The mother says, "Pregnant?! She can't be, she has never been left alone with a man! Have you, Debbie?"
Debbie says, "No mother! I've never even kissed a man!"
The doctor walked over to the window and stared outside. About five minutes passed before the mother said, "Is there something wrong out there, doctor?"
The doctor replied, "No, not at all. It's just that the last time anything like this happened, a star appeared in the east and three wise men came over the hill. I'm not going to miss it this time around!"

Never heard that one before and while was telling my wife the joke, I was laughing to hard I could hardly say the punch line.

"Virgin birth" is not unique or unheard of. But the offspring are always female.

Well, not exactly 'always'...

Jesus was not born of a virgin. He allegedly had a father. In Isaiah 7:14, the Hebrew word that is translated as "virgin" in the KJV is "almah" which means simply a maiden, or young woman. Jarrett Lawrence Emanuel was born on April 4, 1984. His mother lived and worked at the Jefferson hotel while she was pregnant with him and until he was born. His first name, Jarrett, is Joshua in Hebrew, the same as Jesus in Greek and it means "Lord is salvation". His mother's name is Victoria and she was in the process of divorcing her husband, Larry Emanuel. She has kept her marital name and also named Jarrett's last name "Emanuel".

What do you mean "he allegedly had a father. I have never seen that in the bible.

You're saying that a "maiden, or young woman" cannot be a virgin? Curiouser and curiouser. I would have said it's more likely than not, especially in those times.
Anyway, on to more important things. Yes, Jesus most certainly had a father. He refers to "My Father in Heaven" many, many times. That is common, very basic knowledge throughout Christendom. Any Christian would be happy to confirm that.

You're not aware of the Christian claim that God was Jesus' father? The NT says he was conceived by the Holy Spirit. Actually, Joseph was Jesus' father. The lineage back to David is traced through Joseph. Matthew 1:16. I might also add that his genealogy includes Jeconiah and due to his wickedness, he was precluded from ever having a descendant reign and inherit the throne of David. Matthew 1:11. Jeremiah 22:30. "Thus saith the Lord, Write ye this man childless, a man that shall not prosper in his days: for no man of his seed shall prosper, sitting upon the throne of David, and ruling any more in Judah".

A "virgin birth" happens when the child that is conceived does not have a father. It has nothing to do with the mother being a virgin. And like I said before, the offspring are always female. The mother is basically cloning herself.

I know that the true father of Jesus was our Lord God. I took your post to mean that there was no father of Jesus. That premise is what I was disclaiming.

Except at least one time that we know of, when the child was most certainly male and not only had a father but knew exactly who his father was and what His plans were. This was not a clone, but rather the product of an immaculate conception. There is, I believe, a difference.
