Introduction: by Pastor Gary Boyd

If the rapture happens this year what becomes of the ones left behind who thought they had a shot at meeting Jesus in the air? Will they suffer the great tribulation? Will there be another opportunity? Can they find salvation in the horrible nightmare to come? Please investigate this article to find what scripture says, it is truly enlightening.

Scripture Says

“Not all Israel is Israel” says the Bible. (Romans 9:6) Likewise, not all the church is the true church!

The true born-again, truth-believing, ten commandments following Christian will go up in the rapture. The professing, non-born-again wannabe Christians (counterfeits) will not.

These are intensely critical days! It’s a unique time – even the Bible says so in numerous places. These are the days of impending great doom, and great, glorious victory for many. But beware! The Bible talks repeatedly of “many” and “few”, saying many will not be saved and few will.

Which way will you go at the end of your day?

When God turns up the heat, some who were lukewarm will become too hot to handle, and will come running to our Lord in fear of Him – Voila! They will find Him and enter His peace. Those who are wise and do so before the tribulation will be rapture-ready.

What are the signs to watch for?
Signs, signs everywhere signs! We have signs in the sky, signs on the earth, signs in the world, signs in the church, signs in Israel. Everyone is talking about signs and has their own take on them.

A primary Bible sign is one in which the details are clear, literal and real. They take precedence over and must be in place before any secondary sign.

A secondary sign is one whose identity or events are not clearly defined and could be interpreted in various ways and could even be extra-biblical.

Matthew 24:30 “Then shall appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven, and all the nations shall mourn and they shall see the Son of Man coming...”

The word “sign” is Strong’s G4592 = “Sermeion.” It means: “Miracle,” “Supernatural” sign or wonder. It is an occurrence transcending the natural world.

There are numerous other verses, where this word is used. They speak of supernatural signs and miracles. Here are just a few examples of this word:

Matthew 12:38 “...Master we would seek a sign from you.”

Luke 21:11, 25 “There shall be great earthquakes in divers places and famines and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs from heaven...There shall be signs in the sun and in the moon and in the stars ...and upon the earth distress of nations...”

John 2:11 “This beginning of miracles (signs G4592) Yeshua did in Cana in Galilee...and His disciples believed in Him.”

The greatest and most important sign of all:
●Can we know exactly when the church age will end with the rapture of the church?
●Can we know when the tribulation period will begin, and then complete Daniel’s seventy weeks?

The answer to the former question is dependent on the latter. The answer to the latter question is yes – conditionally. What is that condition? Let’s dig.

Daniel 9:27 “He (antichrist) shall confirm a covenant (treaty) with many for one week (of years), but in the middle of the week, he shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering...”

Daniel 11:21 “In his place shall arise a vile person (antichrist)...he shall come in peaceably and seize the kingdom by intrigue.”

Daniel 8:24-25 “His (antichrist) power shall be mighty...he shall destroy fearfully and shall prosper and thrive, he shall also destroy the holy people. Through his cunning he shall cause deceit to prosper and he shall magnify himself. He shall destroy many in their prosperity (peace). He shall even rise against the Prince of princes.”

1 Thessalonians 5:2-3 “For you know perfectly that the day of the Lord (seven year tribulation) so comes as a thief in the night (to those sleeping). For when they say ‘peace and safety’! Then sudden destruction comes upon them as labour pains and they shall not escape. But you brethren are not in darkness that this Day should overtake you as a thief.”
●The word “peace” in the verse above is very interesting. It is not the normal word for peace. It is Strong’s G1515 “Eirene”, meaning: National peace, a nation in tranquillity, exemption from war, security and safety.

So, here we see that there will be a national seven-year peace treaty made with the antichrist.

All those who have been coming up with new, private interpretation of this event saying it’s not a peace treaty, it’s an old existing treaty, like the Oslo accord, simply being resurrected and now ratified – are wrong!

The verses of Daniel above show that it’s a seven-year peace treaty. No previous treaty of any sort was for seven years, besides that, previous treaties are null and void and would need to be re-negotiated.

Some say that it is not a peace-treaty, because Daniel 9:27 doesn’t say it is. But as I have shown, a number of other verses show that it is!
This great event identifies, reveals and releases the antichrist. Simultaneously, the “restrainer” (the Holy Spirit-filled church) is removed ending the church dispensation, and starting the tribulation period immediately. When the true church is gone there is nothing holding back the wicked from doing their dirty deeds.

It is at this point, that the “dead in Messiah and we who are alive,” (the church) will be caught up (raptured) to meet the Lord in the air.”

There is no inter-dispensation gap or time period. There can’t be. Where would those who die in that gap period go?

The arguments used by those who support the gap are very weak, and in fact amount to nothing but presumption. It’s very dangerous building a doctrine on presumption.

There is no verse of scripture saying or implying a gap after the rapture and the tribulation start.

Those who support it are looking for an explanation for their erroneous doctrine of imminence.

Joseph and his wife:

We all know the wonderful story of Joseph being left for dead by his brothers and finding himself in slavery in Egypt. He finds favour with Pharaoh by interpreting a dream, which leads to him being exalted and given a Gentile wife named Asenath.

Then comes the dramatic, great reveal, as Joseph identifies himself to his brothers and their father Jacob / Israel. In this story, Joseph is a type of our Lord, Yeshua.

Romans 11:15 speaks of the return of the Jews to their Messiah as “life from the dead.” This parallels perfectly with Ezekiel’s “Dry bones” coming to life. What drama!

But there’s more! As Pharaoh gave Joseph this wife, he also changed Joseph’s name to Zaphnath-paaneah. This name means “The revealer of secrets.” Pharaoh did this because of the revealing of his dream, but the much greater truth, is that Joseph himself is in fact, the great secret of who the Messiah is, revealed in type. Very soon “Joseph” will be “revealed” to his brethren.

One of the many names for the Feast of Trumpets is “Yom Hadish”, meaning, the day of hiding. This is because the new moon is concealed and hidden. Its revealing is confirmed by two witnesses, starting this feast.

Many, including myself, believe that a Feast of Trumpets marks the start of the tribulation period.

Does this mean that the revealing of Messiah takes place from this feast onwards? Yes it does! Numerous other verses describe the lifting of the veil and the revealing taking place in the tribulation period.

Isaiah 49:26 “I will feed those who oppress you (Israel) with their own flesh and they will be drunk with their own blood as with sweet wine. All flesh shall (then) know that I the Lord am your Saviour, and your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob (Israel).”

Now, please note!!!

Psalm 81:3-6 “Blow the trumpet at the time of the new moon, on our solemn feast day (Tishrei 1/Trumpets)...This He established in Joseph for a testimony, when he went throughout the land of Egypt...his hands were freed from the baskets...”

This incredibly prophetic verse above points to the fact that Joseph was released from prison on Tishrei 1 when the new moon was sighted, which is the Feasts of Trumpets. What powerful symbolism of the soon-coming release from spiritual captivity of all the Jews, as God reveals their Messiah to them.

Does this point to a pre-tribulation rapture? The answer is – yes!

Joseph was 30 years old when he was released from his two-years in prison and began ruling. Our Lord’s ministry began when He was 30 years old and the two years is a type of the 2000-year wait of the Jews for their Messiah to be revealed.

Interestingly, Joseph’s wife, Asenath, becomes a type of the church. She is not seen or heard of again after the great reveal to the brothers.

Note also that Joseph took his Gentile bride before the 7- year famine - another type of the pre-tribulation rapture.

So, here we see the great secret of the revealing of Messiah to the Jews, going into high gear on the Feast of Trumpets as the seven-year tribulation starts.

The character of the tribulation:

The Old Covenant is incomplete. There are seven disastrous years required to complete it. The tribulation period centres on God’s dealings with the Jews, and on the punishment of the unbelieving world. It is not for the church.

This is called the “Time of Jacob’s trouble (Israel), the seventieth week for My people (Jews).

The tribulation period is described as: “The Day of sorrows.” (Matthew 24:8-13) “The Day of wrath.” (Zephaniah 1:15) “The Day of indignation.” (Zephaniah 3:8). “The Day of vengeance.” (Isaiah 34:8, 64:4).

The Bible sees the characteristics of this time period as so severe, masses of people will seek to die.

Revelation 9:6 “In those days, men shall seek death, but will not find it; they shall desire to die, but death will flee from them.”

Revelation 6:16 “They said to the mountains and rocks, ‘Fall upon us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb.’”

The fury of the left-behind:

Those who are left behind at the rapture, are obviously the unsaved, but also the great company of so-called Christians and those who thought they were saved because they believe in Jesus. These are counterfeit believers and all those who have no real new-birth experience.

One thing the rapture will do is identify very publically those who were not genuinely saved. They will be left behind.

The Bible reveals that many people will still not repent in the tribulation, but will turn on God in their fury and hostility.

At the rapture, the Bible says that sudden destruction will come and they will not escape the tribulation! (1 Thessalonians 5:3)

Have a look at these shocking verses revealing the arrogance of modern man:

Revelation 16:11 “They blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and did not repent of their deeds.”

Revelation 16:21 “Great hail from heaven fell upon men, every hailstone about the weight of a talent (approximately 75 lbs), and men blasphemed God because of the plague of hail, since that plague was exceedingly great.”

Revelation 16:9 “Men were scorched with great heat, and they blasphemed the name of God who has power over these plagues, and they did not repent.”

Revelation 2:21-22 (The church of Thyatira – the orthodox churches) “I gave her time to repent and she did not...I will cast her into great tribulation, unless they repent...”

Now have a look at this verse and note the big difference:
Revelation 11:13 “In the same hour there was a great earthquake, and a tenth of the city fell. In the earthquake seven thousand were killed and the rest were afraid and gave glory to the God of heaven.”

All these people are aware that these terrible tribulation judgements are coming from God Himself. It is God who has the power over these things and also has the keys of heaven and hell.
It’s really not very clever to turn on and blaspheme God in the time of tribulation and distress! It is really an extreme pride thing, which is the reason they landed in the tribulation to start with!

Those who will not go in the rapture:

Hebrews 3:12 “Beware brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God.”

The true church is born of the pure, Holy Spirit of God. The counterfeit church is born of its own theology, own unholy ideas and lies.

The true church has the Spirit-revealed Bible as its source. The counterfeit church has the dead-letter of the Bible mixed with all their own ideas as their source.

The counterfeit church is inspired and led by Satan, although they can’t see it at all.

Imagine the shock of having the eyes of your understanding opened in hell!

The message to the seven churches in the Revelation reveals that over-comers are rewarded. Here are some promises to those who don’t overcome, revealed by God to the seven churches:
●“I will fight you with the sword of My mouth.”
● “I will cast you into great tribulation.”
●“I will come upon you as a thief.”
●“I will spew you out of My mouth.”
●“I will remove your candlestick from its place.”
●Our Lord said to professing Christians: “Depart from Me I never knew you.” They claimed to know Him, and did this or that in His name. (Matthew 7:21-23)
●Paul says: “It is impossible for those once enlightened, who have become partakers of the Holy Spirit and have tasted of the powers of the age to come, if they fall away, to renew them again to repentance, since they crucify again the Son of God...” (Hebrews 6:4-6)

Are you a hairs-breath from eternity with our Lord?

The character of grace upon this earth is about to be removed and replaced with the character of multiple wraths!

Genesis 6:3 “The Spirit of God will not contend with man forever.”
But here is the great news:
1 Thessalonians 1:10 “...He delivers us from the wrath to come.”

What is the “wrath to come”? A number of other verses define it as the tribulation period. It would really take a lot of linguistic gymnastics to explain away this simple verse! There are other parallel verses to this as well.

Revelation 3:10 “Because you have kept My word to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial (tribulation), which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.”

1 Thessalonians 4:4 “You brethren are not in darkness that this Day should overtake you as a thief.” The “Day” mentioned here is universally accepted as a reference to the tribulation. Get ready the time is short, you do not want to be left behind!
