Ok, getting_back_on_track.. we have the EPA running 'verbicide' on us as they try to baffle us into thinking it is doing something it is allowed to do when in actuality it is 'off the scale'.
In his epic tale, [i]1984[/b], Orwell coined a most apt, if similar term;
doublespeak.

Specific Attributes of Doublespeak-
Lutz provides several defining attributes of doublespeak:
misleads
distorts reality
pretends to communicate
makes the bad seem good
avoids or shifts responsibility
makes the negative appear positive
creates a false verbal map of the world
limits, conceals, corrupts, and prevents thought
makes the unpleasant appear attractive or tolerable
creates incongruity between reality and what is said or not said
A classic example, and there are hundreds, comes from NY Gub, Cuomo in his calling his anti-second amendment law the
SAFE ACT. That law places burdens on law-abiding citizens who wish to own and carry firearms for safety reasons while doing nothing- nothing!- to restrict the criminals.
Doublespeak is the language of all politicians, especially democrat/progressives like Cuomo.
