Trump looks to the left for reassurance and help

If you watched the Presidents campaign speech before a join session of Congress, you may have noted that he looked at the teleprompters - and to the left. Why the left you ask? Let's see...mmmm, oh right - that was the GOP side of the room. Even when Trump called on all Congressional Democrats, he STILL looked to the left where his GOP allies sat - not at the Democrats he was specifically speaking to, who were seated to his right.

Had the Republicans not provided a standing ovation after every sentence, Trump would have either burst out crying, or swearing a blue streak at those who betrayed him. As I noted earlier, Trump did wear his "Presidential tie", which is the costume required to keep him on script and remind him to moderate his rhetoric. What "for realz" person needs such props? Well, that was self explanatory, wasn't it.

The speech was full of happy horse shit, but then, all campaign speeches are. Trumps pathological need for constant approbation ( read: ass licking ), required him to look to the left at all times, as the frowns and head shaking from the right was anathema to this need. He did show wisdom in this move though, because we all know how Trump reacts to criticism, so had he looked to the right, his inner demons would have compelled him to attack - which would have ruined the kabuki theater his team had carefully scripted. For all I know, Trumps handlers may have put a brace on him, preventing him from looking to the right - so it might not be his fault.

What was remarkable, and funny as hell, is the GOP and Trumps handlers have been telling us for months " don't pay too much attention to what Trump says, it's just words", then crow with delight because of - what Trump said. Do we take what he says seriously or do we not? Do we take him literally or do we not? We STILL don't know which is which. The best I can come up with is, we are to take him at his word if the "word" isn't controversial, crazy or contradictory - but we are to ignore him when it is any of those things. Now it's very clear! I'm sure the country ( and his own party ) will prosper under the "yes, no!, yes, maybe, no, yes" style of leadership.

Perhaps, if his dresser can keep the "presidential tie" on him, and his handlers can keep him to the scripts they've prepared, things will be ok. I mean, what could go wrong with Bannon wanting to destroy the Federal Government, Wall Street getting off their leashes, industry allowed to pollute and poison as much (and who) as they want with impunity? It makes sense, in a 3rd grader kind of way, that if there's too much regulation - NO regulation must be more gooder. Now, we just need to start taking up a collection to help pay for the great, GREAT wall of America. Boy! we'll make the Chinese soooooo jealous!

Wow.
Were you wearing your Red Star Cap when penning this garbage.
President Trump Bitch Slapped the Demo-rats. He will get much done
with or without you dimwits . It would be quicker with both parties
working together but I do not think that's possible. Even with such a
large positive viewer response from across the board your representatives
are so far immersed into the Globalism movement that they can no longer
work for this country.

Bye bye .

President Trump gave a very presidential speech. Period. The Democrats once again looked like little whiney bitches as you often do. Period.

The wife and I were just discussing the thoughts of the dumbocraps. They apparently watched a different speech than you or I did because they sure are twisting everything around. Of course, we do know that that is one thing they're good at. Those two bitches in white giving the should be taken out and bitch slapped themselves just for looking stupid. That's something a 12 year old does. As long as democrats have a say in the affairs of the US we are in for a long ride, but one I'm willing to ride along side President Trump with.

There is no understanding the illness that is the far left progressive. They view life thru a prism that just flat does
not exist for anyone else . I do not include many democrats that mirror JFK democrats. Just the wacko bunch that
have morphed out of the party of not so olden times . Irrational thought thru and thru. This generations aging rose
colored glasses crowd . Mental doodlers .

They remind me of how difficult it is to rescue someone who is fighting you.
That speech last night was a life line. Grab it our not , the rest of us will see

I absolutely second JFlorio's comment. He was presidential, the speech was presidential, and the republican side of the audience was presidential in their support. I even saw a few libs applauding. Good on them. As for the rest

I've read too many of your posts major and decided it must suck being you. I'm dying to know who your favorite president was.

kankune-ipn is nothing more than a left wing agitator much like tdsrnest, Raylon, DJrich, Cool breeze, Permafrost and KHH1. They offer a lot of nit picking BS from sore losing whiners. It is obvious that the democrats will provide
very little, if any, cooperation in re-energizing America. However, as long as the republicans stick together they can get the job done and the let little petulant children stew in their own crap. One could have observed better manners viewing a room full of preschool age children than was displayed by the left wingers. The democrat party of old no longer exists so we should call them what they are-Left Wing Progressives. If Trump looked to the left more than he did to his right it was probably because once you have seen a room full of dummies you need not look again. One does not get much reaction from a group of mind numbed robots so why bother !! America First !!!!

Agree Ricko, Doesn't matter where Trump looked. What matters is Trump spoke to all the American people last night. At least all the American people who care about America.

Hey Jim...I sure do agree with u and Ricko, but I have to tell you I was so mad at those Fricken dems last night. I could of just spit. Also had a few choice words come out of my mouth that I try to avoid. How dare they disrespect a fallen hero or a man that lost his football star son to an illegal. It's becoming more and more apparent they despise our country, our President and they hate US even more because we voted our new President in. I just want to load them up and ship them out. And not to a good place either.......
