YOU are a disgrace to the uniform, and that rank, if you DOUBTFULLY ever had it.

What SCUM you are. I KNOW , in my heart, that YOU never served in the Military. If you did, it would have been YOU that was kicked out. You Liberals don't have the BALLS to fight FOR "your" Country. You just sit on your LAZY Asses collecting your Welfare checks and let REAL MEN and WOMEN do the fighting for YOUR rights FOR YOU!!! THAT is what LIBERALS DO!!! They also get MOBS together to DESTROY "OTHER PEOPLES PROPERTY" whenever YOU WHINING LITTLE BABIES don't GET YOUR OWN WAY!!!

I imagine they have already come to that conclusion. You see, contrary to what we are told by the less than educated section of the political establishment, none of the States within the Union are democracies. Each and every one is a Constitutional Republic. The Federal government is also organized under a Constitutional Republican system. This guarantee is enshrined under Article IV, Section 4 of the US Constitution:

"The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government..."

Democracy - Rule (or more accurately, tyranny) of the Majority.
Republic - Rule of Law.

Here's a good commentary on the differences:

That's why lynch mobs are illegal, because even the most heinous deviant has the same rights as every other citizen, including the right to face a jury of his peers in a court of law.

If you can stomach it, here's a video that explains quite well why a Constitutional Republic is truly a bulwark for natural rights, and a real threat to those who would do us harm:

Anyone who tries to tell you that you live in a 'democracy' or that you are fighting wars to 'make the world safe for democracy' is not acting in your best interests. You are being conditioned and 're-educated' to accept democracy as a prelude to something far more sinister. Don't be fooled.
I imagine they have already come to that conclusio... (show quote)

To your first question....that conclusion is just an observation. I'm still in wait and see mode, so nothing definitive. I've observed many missed opportunities for the President to work through Congress and he doesn't mention that institution very often. For example, the Johnson Amendment he vowed to destroy is a part of the tax code, which is clearly a province for Congressional action. Perhaps he should have said 'I will work with and push for Congress to alter the tax code.....'. Admittedly, I'm extrapolating about the SC. I base that observation on Mr. Trumps reactions judges rulings in lower courts and wonder what his reaction will be when a SC ruling goes against him. So far, it appears this Executive will brook no disagreement with him. The 'so called' judge is a judge in the federal courts, and let's not forget the questioning of an American judge for his immigrant background.

To your second point about the differences between the 'republic' and 'democracy', I get that. It's one of the reasons for my undiminished optimism in my country. Despite the gridlock and rancor in DC, I see plenty of push back to both the established parties from the states and local political organizations. I've said before the country will survive a Clinton or a Trump administration and that is because the American people will see to it.

And thank you for your civil response.

I do NOT believe we would have survived a Clinton Presidency. Obama's agenda was to destroy America, as we Americans know it. And That means Our values, beliefs, and freedoms. Clintons "agenda" was to continue his works plus her OWN AGENDA. And THAT is to make HERSELF AS RICH AND POWERFUL AS POSSIBLE!!! No, we would NOT have survived it. We may be still alive, but not free!!!

I'm still wondering tho, why we didn't bat an eye when Bush put a temporary ban on people coming in from these countries and the same with Obama. All of a sudden when President Trump does it...it's taboo. The influx of people coming in from these countries is staggering. I had no idea it was so many. Why is what's good for 2 former Presidents is not good for our President Trump. This judge does not get intelligence briefings nor I don't imagine that he has top security clearance. What information does he have to direct his order against a presidential executive order. Whats wrong with being proactive for 90 days until we get this figured out. Just sayin....

THANK YOU!! Most people have never even read the Constitution. And if you watch Watter's World, you will find there are MANY citizens that have never even HEARD of it!!! It is hard to watch sometimes, the acute STUPIDITY of some people. And a lot of them are COLLEGE STUDENTS. I guess they need to spend more time in the classrooms and less time in the streets, as MOBS!! But then, I don't even think they are learning MUCH in the classrooms either!!!

I suspect they are learning, but what? Something to make them useful citizens? Provide a comfortable surrounding to dependents? Furthering the cause of our Republic?

Pretty doubtful. There are exceptions of course.
A kind of far fetched analogy. During my Navy days we were assured that the appearance of a ship's 'liberty' boat was a fair representation of the ship itself.
Could we not apply that to the college kids as a representation of what they learned or were subjected to in the home?
When did the change begin? What caused it? More importantly, how do we recover?

Since I'm not an expert in these matters I would defer to someone more knowledgable. I would have to research if there were any major differences in the subject or scope of the EOs of the three Presidents.

My point was mainly about the President using the words 'so called'. It's one thing for us (the commentariat) to use the word to make a point, it's a different animal when the President appears to be questioning the legitimacy of a federal judge. I know that the Administration disagrees with the ruling, but it seems to have shot itself in the foot by the manner of it's response.

I would assert that questioning the legitimacy of this federal judge is warranted. Judge Jeanine Pirro certainly seems to think so:

As a 'real' judge, of course she backs her opinion up with a whole slew of legal references. Stuff this 'so called judge' didn't seem to have heard of.

Well answer my question then. How many muslims were in this country when the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States were written? How many?
