They did it! GOP introduces bill to defund the united nations--19FH.,B10
Sen. Ted Cruz teamed up Thursday with — of all people — Sen. Lindsey Graham to introduce a resolution to defund the United Nations unless it reverses a recently passed measure condemning Israeli settlement activity.
“Twenty-two percent of the money to fund the U.N. comes from the American taxpayer,” Graham noted during a joint interview with his fellow senator that morning on MSNBC. “I don’t think it’s a good investment for the American taxpayer to give money to an organization that condemns the only democracy in the Middle East.”
“The only way to get their attention — we can give speeches, we can pass resolutions and the U.N. is going to ignore what we say; but if you cut off their money, that gets their attention,” Cruz added. “And I think we’ve real prospects of seeing this thing move through Congress and actually turning this thing around.”
According to the Washington Examiner, though Graham and Cruz launched the bill together, it was ultimately the brainchild of the Texas senator, who reportedly came up with it shortly after the December vote by the U.N.
The beef that Graham and Cruz — as well as other conservatives — had with the U.N. was that the resolution it passed on Dec. 23 had declared Israeli settlements in East Jerusalem and West Bank illegal. The goal was to force the U.N. to reverse this decision by cutting off its funding.
Speaking on Fox News the same morning, Cruz added, “What brings us together today is an issue that that I think really unites — it unites Republicans, but it ought to unite Democrats, it does unite Americans — and that’s standing with Israel.”
The plan made sense, as much of the U.N.’s funding came from the United States, as noted two years ago by Fox News: ” Each year the United States gives approximately $8 billion in mandatory payments and voluntary contributions to the United Nations and its affiliated organizations … If that seems like a lot, it is — far more than anyone else pays.”

Screw the legislation, let's call in one of those al Qaeda dudes. Do the job right. Give the UN a dose of its own medicine.

I'd love it if The United States didn't give the UN a dime. The founding purpose of the UN was to bring peace and prosperity to the globe.

However, in recent years have brought a flow of scandals at the United Nations, of which the wholesale corruption of the Oil-for-Food relief program in Iraq has been only the most visible. We still do not know the full extent of these debacles–the more sensational ones include the disappearance of UN funds earmarked for tsunami relief in Indonesia and the exposure of a transnational network of child rape by UN peacekeepers in Africa–and we may never know. What we do know is that an assortment of noble-sounding efforts has devolved into enterprises marked chiefly by abuse, self-dealing, and worse. The UN is nothing but a bunch thugs and thieves.

The money is probably going to the Terrors to help keep our borders open. No money your UN, and our Military doesn't belong in the UN. Don't trust them. Obama's buddies. God thank you for taking care of our COUNTRY and TRUMP and team.

I wonder if the GOP has ever asked the American taxpayers if they are willing to send 6 billion dollars a year to Israel. The inner cities in the US are a disaster, according to Donald Trump, and yet, for many years, the US has been subsidizing the building of a country. Hopefully Donald Trump would go ahead with his campaign promise of America First.

As soon as {"red-(D)iaper baby"} BHO (D), gave the ole' SDSer, {"red-(D)iaper baby"} Cass Sunstein (D), the Regulatory Czar position and appointed Cass' wife, {"red-(D)iaper baby"} Samantha Power (D), {"Responsibility to Protect"/fascist Soros/Palestine/PLO} to be on his permanent Cabinet and US Ambassador to the UN, my fantasy of "draining" the UN to give housing to homeless vets, amplified; and Samantha, sure-enough, just helped BHO (and his "lefty," radical Marx/Alinsky administration), anti-Semitically, re-kick Israel {and Bibi} in the teeth!!! "The UN is nothing but a bunch of {radical/secular/communist/anti-American/anti-Semitic} thugs and thieves!!!" As is our current, {just booted}, "lefty" administration!!! Hummmmmmmmmmmm. GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO PRESIDENT "45" DONALD J. TRUMP!!! "DRAIN THAT {RADICAL SECULAR LIBERAL "REGRESSIVE" LEFTY} SWAMP!!!"

Great! I hope it all pans out. ALSO, I just found out that I'm on some libtard weasel's 'ignore list'. His name is Progressive One and obviously is a slime weenie who would rather run and hide instead of standing up to constructive criticism.
