The Department of Education comes in a close second. What could we save getting rid of BOTH? Not to mention less federal moonbat influence on our kids.
How about the DEA? Or BATFE? Or the IRS? Oh, Oh, the BLM! Now there's a boondoggle! There are so many. I don't suppose it matters where you start, getting rid of all these alphabet soup agencies would save many trillions every year and not just in money to government. The real cost comes in compliance with all the regulations and requirements these agencies represent. Repealing the Federal Reserve Act of 1913 and associated legislation would be sufficient to guarantee economic prosperity for the next several millennia at least. Once government had to rely on hard money coming in to maintain itself, we would see the vast majority of these agencies go the way of the dodo. No more inflation tax to pay for ever-expanding government influence.
