Yeah, we do. Rush (and others) have been saying for years that we can never appease the left nor compromise with them. I cannot count the times I've heard Rush say, "They must be defeated." The left will flat refuse to deal with the right unless they set the premise, and then they will not budge an inch. The RINO Repubs have yielded, succumbed or surrendered every time. The liberal progressives are insatiable, their lust for power and control knows no bounds. Give them an inch and they want the tape measure, give them a mile and they want the entire highway. I have yet to see the liberals win a fight then rest on their laurels, they always want more.

I will say that it is heartening that Trump is bringing some tough guys and gals from outside the corrupted government swamp, maybe we'll have a chance now, who knows. Way I see it the new guys in town don't need to know how such a corrupted system works, they just need to know how to kick some political ass. Of course, Trump does have at least one insider, Sessions, whose record as a prosecutor and the Alabama AG has proven he has no problem kicking ass.

The number of government employees now exceeds by over 9 million the number of employees in private sector manufacturing. The numbers at last count = 21,995,000 (govt) to 12,329,000 (manufacturing)

The government is getting really really big, folks, and astronomically expensive to run---projected cost is 3.6 trillion to run the government next year, but we're only expecting to collect 2.4 trillion in taxes, a 1.2 trillion dollar deficit. And, it costs $1.4 billion per year just to run the executive branch.

It's way past time for a humongous trim job, this runaway train must be stopped.

As a generalization, my contention is 40% of federal employment is the biggest welfare scam in the nation.

Add their past IRS DEBTS and it's no wonder there is no money for the country debt!!
Let you or I owe a penny and we're hounded until it and interest and penalties are paid...

During a government shutdown non-essential employees are sent home. That seems to me to be a good starting point across the entire gooberment.

They are essential to the membership of the Public Employees Union, which makes them essential to the Democratic Party and a liability to U.S. tax payers.

While I don't know enough about the number of people required to run the government to weigh in on how manymight need to be trimmed, I do know this:

The corporate kleptocracy that has been enriching itself by buying government are the ones who have been sending jobs overseas. Without those folks being employed by the government we'd see a lot more unemployment than we do now.

What? Wait! Now you're confusing me Paul. We have constantly heard about how Oblama brought umemployment so far down, and how great the economy is. What is the proclaimed unemployment number? Something like 4.9%? If that were true, it shouldn't be necessary for taxpayers to pay people to sit around, and watch porn on taxpayer computers with taxpayer funded Internet service.

Frankly, I care not what he may, or may not, said thirty years ago. Mrs. Clinton "evolved" to support homosexual marriage, as did president Obama. Their positions were recent positions, not some nebulous thirty year ago comment.
