The situation the United States is in there are very few jobs for low skilled people; to raise minimum business will precipitate out-sourcing of jobs of jobs overseas and automation. If we do not raise the minimum wage, our taxes will haft to support to be raised to support social programs. Soon all jobs will be replaced by automations. People will not be necessary because machines will repair themselves. I understand economics 101 and102 pretty well. The economic systems of this world be they communist or capitalism was design by Satan who is the ruler of this world. Automation is one of the signs of the end of this age. Daniel (12-4) But you Daniel close up and seal the words of the scroll and seal until the end of time. Many will go here and there to increase knowledge

Machines do not repair themselves nor do they repair each other. Robots need humans and will for the foreseeable future. Did this for almost 20 years.

They repair my computer from ten thousand miles away. Farms will not need workers. Cars can drive themselves. The technology we have today is still in a very inchoate state, but is developing at very expedition rate. Soon they will interface man's brain with machine. Then man will not be needed maybe just a few very elite type with 300 intelligence quotient. consequently the human race will need to be eliminated. I think it will be done according to God's plan that is in the Bible. The sign of the end are already appearing have a nice weekend folks.

Maybe we can replace the poor with robots,,, then we wouldn't have to pay for them,,
And if they had solar batteries they would shut up at night instead of yowling in the alley and keeping working people awake, committing crimes, and just being disgusting..

No one repairs hardware from 1000's of miles away, they repair software. All of these can be done but it will be years before it's real.

People, in a free market economy have unlimited wants. Therefore, the demand for jobs is unlimited (even if many are taken by robots). The difficulty is that politicians for self-serving reasons make many jobs illegal or pass laws to make them uneconomical. I would agree that there is a shortage of $250,000 a year and higher paying jobs.

Mainly, but not entirely. It took both political parties to reach a $16 trillion national debt, which mathematically is impossible to pay off or sustain indefinitely.
