Thanks for recognizing my honesty JF. It means a lot to me coming from someone with whom I almost never agree.
I like to think I would care if Obama weren't eligible to be President ( I certainly cared when Schwartzenegger was considering his run) but we can only speculate since we know he was eligible.
As to the supposed "sealed college transcripts", those are never public documents for anyone at all, so the idea that they are somehow "sealed" is inappropriate.
You may be unhappy he did not authorize them to be released, but that is every citizen's right.
http://www.factcheck.org/2012/07/obamas-sealed-records/I haven't read his book, so I can't comment on what may or may not be said within.
It is of course moot, since he has been president for nearly two terms, and history will recognize him as having lawfully been so.
Addendum:
A little research on the book reveals this:
No, it was never in his book, rather it was a promotional pamphlet circulated amongst other literary agents, which was not written by President Obama (nor was it approved, or even distributed to him). The person (Miriam Goderich) who wrote that particular promotional piece has admitted that it was a mistake.
"This was nothing more than a fact checking error by me--an agency assistant at the time," Goderich wrote in an emailed statement to Yahoo News. "There was never any information given to us by Obama in any of his correspondence or other communications suggesting in any way that he was born in Kenya and not Hawaii. I hope you can communicate to your readers that this was a simple mistake and nothing more."
