There is no Republican war on women, and opposing the butchering of the most helpless and defenseless members of society has nothing to do with depriving women of reproductive rights. I've noticed that you can't be a member of the liberal church if you are not willing to sacrifice your children on the alter of abortion .

I so agree, abortion should never be used as birth control. Yes, there is a time and place to end a pregnancy; mostly a choice between the life of mother and child and no one other than the woman and the child's father should make that decision. Abortion is simply killing a child. Planning ahead, taking precautions, and proper use of birth control methods should be taught to each person whether male or female. One of the problems with our disposable society is the lack of education in the home. Part of that education must include values....and the value of each life.

A woman's right to make that decision justifies it!

And how would that justify it?

The GOP's goal is to make people take responsibility for their actions. Razors are "disposable", children are not!

Lots of people lack common sense. Look in the mirror. I'm not sure about your supply of boggle.

Wolfe Wolfe Wolfe, I don't have the article in front of me because one of my kids told me about it. A story about a young 14 year old girl who hid her pregnancy from her family, had the baby in the bathroom, immediately upon giving birth strangled the baby, put it in a shoe box in her closet and 2 weeks later was found by her mother.

I am sure we can all feel for this poor child and the horror she must be going through. I am also sure she will be spending hours and hours in therapy while in prison for murder. Yet if she had gone to planned parent hood just a couple if months earlier and had a doctor remove this baby it would have been all perfectly legal.

I have no doubt this is a true story of the horrible depth our society has reached.

This is indeed sad. I feel for the girl and I firmly think that her parents share in the blame. Had her parents taken the time to talk with her, had she trusted her parents, then things could have turned out differently for her.

By the way, here is the link http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/10/01/cassidy-goodson-kills-murders-chokes-newborn-baby_n_1928754.html

The adults that knew of the pregnancy and did nothing to help her..............well, what can I say!

Murder is murder. Sex education needs to be taught in the home and not relegated to school teachers. Parents need to start being responsible parents again!

Abortion should be restricted. It should be not used as birth control. A woman and a man both need to take precautions to prevent a pregnancy.
How about we talk about a real war on women? One the liberals seem to have no desire to stop. Let's look at how women are treated in the Muslim world. In some countries they have no rights at all. They can not even leave the house without their husbands permission, even then they must have a male escort. They can not be involved in politics, drive a car, or go to school. If raped they must have 4 male witnesses in their favor. If caught in adultery they will be stoned to death. In some countries there are periodical crackdowns on female bloggers and activists. Each country has their own laws regarding Sharia Law, What I have mentioned varies from country to country.
Where are the feminists on these issues? Islamic law is already being practiced here by some Muslims. Fathers killing their daughters because they will not obey arranged marriages. Where are all of the leaders of the democratic party when these crimes are committed. Why are Muslims held to a different standard than Christians? Why do our leaders condone such behavior? Where is the outcry from the women feminists leaders? Why do they allow such things to happen here and not one word of outcry is heard? If a Christian quotes the bible about sin in this country, the liberal left want to destroy him. However a Muslim kills his child and not a peep is heard.
Tell me why is this war ignored, while the so called war on women makes headlines in all of the corrupt lap dog Obama media? Where's Obama at while women are constantly being treated less than human in Islam?

There are layers and layers to this question as to who or what is to blame not only for this one particular girl or the 10,000's of thousands just like her. But we as a society and not a court must decide if infantcide and abortion are either both murder or neither are murder.

This debate has been polarizing and dividing our country for 50 years now and we simply must come to a consensus as to when an abortion is ok and when it is not. There will have to be compromises by each side like yes in the case of the mothers life it is ok and no not as a means of birth control is not ok.

If you say this is a war on woman you will just get it is a war on families, Christianity and children thrown back at you. We have to move past childish insults and start healing our country.

Birth Control is both effective and affordable, ergo, many pregnancies are easily avoidable, eliminating the need for many abortions. Not all the time, but in many cases. What is commonly referred to as a "woman's reproductive rights" is a euphemism for "stupid and irresponsible behavior resulting in pregnancy." This is not a generalized statement, but a statement of fact about easily preventable pregnancy.

Without question anyone with any sort moral compass would agree. But the left wants us to believe that anything goes. That you can do whatever makes you fell good with whom what or how many as you like. Don't worry about the consequences of your actions and it doesn't matter whether you are male or female.

But we are into the layers of why which I think we could all write volumes of opinions on.

Don't worry we will force everyone else pay for your irresponsiblity.

Republicans not only want to reduce women's access to abortion care, they're actually trying to redefine rape.
