Is this list supposed to prove your point "And the Republicans hijacked the racism of the Southern Democrats"

Who on that list belongs in that category?
Give example of why that person does belong on the list.

You can start with: 1962 – Ronald Reagan, while an actor and former Screen Actors Guild president.[3] Later 40th President of the United States (1981–1989)

You beat me with a like answer.
Exactly the same train of thought.
Politicians will do what it takes to remain in office. Distancing themselves from the party of the KKK was a no brainer for their personal political survival. These people were far from John Burchers .

I can not understand how they can continue to turn a blind eye to historical facts.
It's beyond me. I will never understand how so many of them do this and continue
the lies and in this case to themselves. I don't get it. Never will. It's nothing new for people
to get duped but in this day and age there is no excuses. No one can claim ignorance.
It's stupidity , not ignorance.

In an interview with Business Insider’s Oliver Darcy, a conservative radio host lamented the fact that conservative media has conditioned its followers to distrust the mainstream media so much that they have become fact-free “monsters.”

In a tweet promoting an upcoming piece on rightwing media, Darcy posted an excerpt from an interview with conservative radio host Charlie Sykes who claims candidates like Donald Trump can say anything on the stump without fear of being fact-checked by the likes of Fox News or conservative websites.

“We’ve basically eliminated any of the referees, the gatekeepers. There’s nobody. Let’s say that Donald Trump basically makes whatever you want to say, whatever claim he wants to make. And everybody knows it’s a falsehood,” he explained. “The big question of my audience, it is impossible for me to say that. ‘By the way, you know it’s false.’ And they’ll say, ‘Why? I saw it on Allen B. West.’ Or they’ll say, ‘I saw it on a Facebook page.’ And I’ll say, ‘The New York Times did a fact check.’ And they’ll say, Oh, that’s The New York Times. That’s bullshit.'”

According to Sykes, any attempts to continue fighting back against misinformation is dismissed with complaints that he has “sold out,” adding, “Then they’ll ask what’s wrong with me for not repeating these stories that I know not to be true.”

Sykes warned “There’s got to be a reckoning on all this.”

The "reckoning" are all the dumb, uninformed, republican voters out there who have been taught to distrust everything they hear. The "reckoning" is the Republican party in the state that it is in today. Thank god, hate radio never caught on with liberal listeners....
In an interview with Business Insider’s Oliver D... (show quote)

You believe your own bull shit do you? Why is it you pass right over the fact that Hillary and Obama have been in charge while screwing this country up. You rant and rave about trump like he has been in charge of the government for the last 8 years. You are blind or stupid, possibly both. You, and people just like you, have screwed up this country. And you have the gall to talk about Trump as though he did.
You can yell your head off, scream at the top of your lungs, curse, cuss, spit, sputter, rant and rave. All to no avail. The plain fact is, Obama and Hillary, and the entire Obama administration, have put this country in the place it finds itself now.

These fools have had 8 years to do something to fix all theses problems. Have they? No. So the only question is why? The answer to that is because they are all incompetent. So your answer is, to put them in charge for 4 more years. You are a special kind of stupid.

Speaking of fact check, you are making a very big deal out of the opinion of one radio talk show host with a limited audience. "Every conservative in America hates Trump because Joe Whackdoodle, host of a conservative radio show in Arglebargle North Dakota, says so."

Gosh, I wasn't aware I stated that every conservative hated Trump. I thought the whole point was that because RW media destroyed the credibility of mainstream media there was no one left to fact check people like Donald Trump. Just think, if you weren't so mistrustful of mainstream media you might just have someone like Cruz as the nominee and a legitimate shot at wining back the WH.

But hey, if shooting the messenger makes you feel better then shoot away--I'm sure that will make the message less true...
