Well, isn't Atheism a religion? If so, then why are we bombarded by their beliefs?

Ducky said that Blacks were "happy and singing, godly," before Civil Rights and welfare. In his memory, everything was fine for the Blacks in the South under Jim Crow Laws--and lynchings, beatings, oppression, and gross injustice. Not in those words, but read what he said and see if it matches the reality of the South in the early 60s. He also said that in finding a wife, the number one consideration is can she cook. His is one man's opinion and no big deal; I have met a number of people like him throughout my life. Good people, usually, but not not very informed or of sophisticated views. A simple person with an uncomplicated view of the world. NP, as I see it. Disagree, he says, fine: so what? Just how one man sees the wold.

At another time it would not have caused a ripple. The guy's just old-fashioned and a little shrug.

As to the actions of A&E, duplicitous PC crap to cater to presently popular social ideas that plagues most public companies.

And just what the hell do you consider "sophisticated views?"
That, to me, sounded like snobbery at it's finest!!!

Even as I wrote that line about 'sophisticated views,' I had that niggling nudge it was trouble. I see the problem with that phrase and agree. Sophisticated could be taken to mean "more cosmopolitan," meaning broad-minded about morals and inclined to be PC. And the reverse of that, those holding such simple beliefs and opinions are un-schooled rubes prone to superstition and just plain stupid ideas about life and the world. That is not what I meant.

I should have remembered that I have had a problem with that word before on a number of occasions, especially with Christians. It does seem to suggest that a simple faith or opinion is somehow lacking or understandably wrong. All that I meant was, which will sound snobbish, is holding fast to the cultural mores one grew up either without challenge or finding any challenges to be foreign.

Sophisticated views must mean the same thing as PC. Of course, I really think I have a right to be against same sex anything but those who believe in PC don't agree with that at all. Most of them are willing to go along with gays in order to try very hard to push Christianity out of the society.

Bad phrase on my part as I explained above.

I see what you are saying. Have you ever considered that some people didn't have the opportunity to seek higher education because of circumstances? That doesn't automatically disqualify them as "non-intelligent." Maybe we can't be as wordy about it, but there are a lot of simple, non-educated, but well informed un-educated simple people out here.
I like it simple.

Did anybody here get to see Sarah Palin on Hannity tonight? She did one of the best jobs of talking about Phil and the rest that I have heard so far. Of course, no leaners will want to hear her but I sure did like it.

Hmmm, er, yes, I did consider that point that "some people didn't have the opportunity to seek higher education because of circumstances"; thought I alluded to that point. This is where labeling gets us so hairy. Could a liberal ever possibly recognize or appreciate that...whatever? Same holds true for the opposite. If I attributed plight as punishment by God, actually impossible to disprove, no matter how much science one throws at it. But if I take this plight-giving-God as consistent in his justice and only those I consider good Christian suffer, what am I to think? New calculations will be made.

Simple does not mean stupid. My standard is not the standard for living, yet I feel it is our basic--basic!--responsibility to learn as much as we can, to forever dig. That insures nothing about gaining wisdom. Yet those who do not bother to look deeply, who, no matter what, refuse to look at anything possible refutation, may still be spot on.

We are once again reminded of the depths of their depravity coming from the far-left social hedonists and of course the vexing two-faced garbage emenating from our neighborhood hypocrite, rumitoid. (Hit the eggnog early didn't we rumitoady?)

I think this whole tolerance for queers and their hedonistic lifestyle has gone far enough because we’re suppose to tolerate them and yet tolerate the more traditional folks out of existence. I see this on part of A&E as cowardly and oppressive that they must shut down a good Christian family like the Robertson just to make the queer community hap-pay, hap-pay, hap-pay. I hope A&E suffers dearly for this knee jerk reaction and if sanity regains control and keep Phil on and make these queers learn their place that they’re the minority and they will not have their way through fascist tactics and oppressing those of a more traditional view. I’m getting sick and damn tired of these loud mouthed tiny minority hate groups having their way by stomping all over traditional values.

This shoving the homosexual lifestyle and openness into the face of the American people has crossed the line. Okay, you’re a queer I’m happy for you so how about you take up one the ass and get the hell out of my face with it. I’m confident that I’m not the only one who feels this way.

And if that sounded bigoted then I apologize for nothing because they are obviously oblivious or comfortably numb to the bigotry they have towards people of faith. This is war.

I wonder how many leaners and gays remember how they worked to get people to boycott Beck sponsors. Actually, I don't wonder at all since they don't see any truth here to what you say.

My favorite late night show is on A&E but I will have to skip watching it until they back off on this one. The real money maker for them was Duck Dynasty and they let the queers push them away from it. The History Channel is the only other one I watch and seldom that. I can boycott all of them with real ease.

I will just have to stick with HGTV for late night watching. They haven't supported the queers yet, have they?

I'm sure HGTV do support the queers, since a few of their actors are queer.

When I see a queer or two looking for a home on HGTV I just turn away from the channel. My wife gets mad at me for that but I just won't watch them same as they won't watch the makers of duck calls live their life. The main thing is that I don't make noise to HGTV about having those people on.

That depends on who you ask, some say the population is 4% gay others say 19% gay compared to 14% black. but since a black person can't hide there skin color, who really knows how many gay people exist.

That 19% is sure as hell wrong and is something that gays wish was true.
