A warm howdy to you! I was raised in MN and loved ice fishing! Went for walleyes & northern pike. Sure do miss that! Transplanted to VA in 2001 and it agrees with me so I stayed. Catch one for me will you?

Yeah, if and when Yellowstone blows politics will be the least of our problems. And Glacier is really cool....don't miss Going-to-the-Sun Road. It's breath-taking.

I believe the Going-to-the-Sun Road is in Glacier National Park. And, it is beautiful.

OldSchool, I believe his second sentence confirms that. He just abbreviates the park to "Glacier'.

A Dupont spinner is a quarter stick of dynamite for fishing purposes and very illegal here in Minnesota

When I visited the North Shore of Minnesota, a couple of years ago, I could not imagine that monstrous lake capable of freezing over. It was in the middle of May, but we got light snows, even then.

I forget what lakeshore town "The Lemon Wolf" restaurant was in, but the people and food were wonderful! I'm not a drinker, but I tried a "Moose Drool" beer, just because of the enticing name! Loved the lighthouses, too. :XD:

The ice bars in Two Harbors or Lutzen are n(ice) too.

Not to be overly disrespectful to our Christian friends but look at the dates of the last couple of yellow stone eruptions. Just a weeEee but longer than 5000-6000 thousand years ago. Sorry couldn't help myself, I've had this itch ever since a Sunday school teacher tried telling my kids plate tectonics don't exist.
