I understand what your saying but you can not change what other choose....
You can not fear their deception..They made that choice knowing right from wrong and chose it instead...
Some do learn from it and in that may learn to cast out their deception and maybe not perish???
For others it is a way to sustain them self and they do not want anything more than to deceive and destruct..
Those will surely perish and most likely will never even see or know any difference anyway.....

And to that note.....one must NEVER cease in presenting the truth.
Regardless of all things that may go against that person.
I'm not particularly trying to "change what others choose", but rather will continue to present the truth for them to consider what they ARE choosing may be a mistake.

And rightly so. What you don't seem to get is that truth depends on which side of the biblical sword you are on. That makes truth relative for if it were absolute god wouldn't ask others to do his dirty work for him as he is more than capable of doing it himself as he demonstrated so many times in the past. With a firestorm from heaven there is no questions but when you come to slit my throat and then you say it's a commandment from your god. Well, I say bullshit--you just wanted my house and my land. And who's to say who's correct. Well it depends on who has the last swing of the sword. Messy stuff murder and it's even worse when it's relative as than there endless excuses and you end up with a world--well much like the one we have today...
And rightly so. What you don't seem to get is that... (show quote)

You see,on that we agree. Very close to what I was saying about truth, and what people believe to be true, it's a personal conception.

Again this is not "the truth" it is your truth" and lets be honest here that is exactly what you're trying to do, change what others choose, since you see what you believe to be right, which makes all others who don't believe what you do as wrong(a mistake). I do see your attempts as good intentions just as a Jehovah witness that knocks on my door.

You will find, in the end, that what I am presenting IS the truth.

And for the record, I said "may be a mistake".....not will be a mistake.

Quit assuming and read what is written instead of what you think is written.

You, bd, might find, in the end, that things are much different than your thinking they might be. Or, you might not find out anything at all.

I think too much time has been devoted to someones intent in understanding truth..Your truth, my truth, absolute truth, ad finem....Why does THAT matter over the topic itself??? Our truth as we see it is our "truth" of it period..

The arguments made right here by all arguing the "concept of truth" clearly illustrates that their position is the one "truth" that is right....???? Makes no sense other than to show in truth of your writings your own hypocrisy of truth....

"The Lord helps those whom help them self as well.....God didn't give us brains to be stupid.."

What you have said here about purpose of God and the afterlife is what is taught by the fundamentalist of "Church worshipers"...Not necessarily what I believe but factually correct, Peter.......

Our rewards come within this life we live or try to live and what happens when we pass is that the spirit leaves not the shell we wore while walking this Earth and learning..Until we have achieved that level of perfection we remain to learn and walk too~~No matter how long it takes...

I don't disagree Linda. My comments to doc though were about one of the main principles of Christianity and that is placing you trust in the Lord. After all, it's through faith that salvation is supposed to be found. Now I just find a people who are so insecure that only a semi-automatic weapon can keep them safe to be most iffy as Christians. That's my point, not that we shouldn't take steps to defend ourselves but for some reason we have gone into complete overkill under the guise of protection.

My wife's girlfriend killed a rapist with a .38 special; an ancient one that her father had given to her. It worked just fine for the purpose of protection. We are a nation that won't even discuss gun control and largely because of the stance taken by Conservative Christians; people who--through their faith--should need a gun the least of all of us.

Unless you think you can over power the United States military with semi-automatic weapons I don't see that they serve a purpose. Is that the real motive behind them? I don't know but with each shooting their days are numbered. Soon the call to get rid of them will be so strong that the second amendment really will be in trouble. Myself, I got rid of my guns long ago and don't miss them. Conservatives are always worried that everything is a slippery slope--perhaps, if you guys would wake up and realize it's time to negotiate it wouldn't have to be...

The "truth" is in the Gospel.
Not what you or I THINK is the truth.
I know the truth is in the Word.

And of course because you don't see any use for semis, no.one should have any.

How one sided and dictatorial can a person get??

If.you don't want one, fine. What does that have to do with anything?

You get this right, a Christian KNOWS.

If that threatens you I'm sorry, but get over it.

If it doesn't threaten.you then.you have nothing to say about it one way or another.

You folks are really showing your stripes.

Oh stop with the threatening thing. That's just silly.

I'm just not believing you're believing.

It's a fun debate. Don't take it personally.

I'm good with you guys. I call many believers brother, sister. It's fine. I like'em. I love'em.

You too. So, don't think I'm threatened.

If you are referring to the "word of God" then we agree..Denominational interpretation of Gods word has created confusion and misconstruing of the word as written..While I attend Church (occasionally)for its moral reinforcement, I still follow my belief of Spirit and not man made interpretation of such..In that we have failed the message of God as each denomination attempts to make it what they want it to be for their followers to stay bound to them..I am bound to one, that is He above...

What I think brings me to my foundation of God because I too believe in the word..

You misunderstood my comment about arguing "truth"....All you guys were doing was arguing "your truth" his truth, her truth, absolute truth etc "only to determine whose truth was right"...Not what you just said ...
