I absolutely agree about what you said as far as this "idiot culture" is concerned. Other societies may concern themselves with the weak and the hopeless, but America has never been that way. Survival of the fittest, evolution condensed into a societal construct. It's what made us strong, independent, and self-reliant. That sort of widespread mindset meant that life might have been a bit harder, but everyone was better for it and their kids were better for it. There will always be idiots in whatever society is made, but this specifically takes the cake for the most blundering piece of garbage culture that I've ever seen, or maybe even heard about. The "All-For-One" mentality is not what societies should be based around, instead substitute it with "One-For-All." If anyone can help the less fortunate, then by all means go ahead and do it. But the government should never be involved, even if just because they are government and they screw literally everything up. The least efficient body ever designed. But that's not the only reason; government shouldn't be involved in the economic welfare of its citizens, only the economic welfare of the country and the economy as a whole, meaning the prevention of monopolies (yes that means a redesigning of the patent system), fair and just courts, police, foreign policy, privitization of monetary policy, and taxes to fund it all. Leave land use to the states. Leave parks and rec to the states. Leave philanthropy to businesses, churches, charities, and the like.
