Trump will dispatch Clinton really quick probably before their first debate if she shows up.If she doesn't show for the debates she's through politically.I hear alot of pundits saying that.So will she stand with her feet in the fire or is she afraid to joust wits with Trump.I think she's going to no show if Trump really goes after her.Why because for the last year we've all seen her take victory laps on every major TV show it makes me sick.I guess now she had wish she didn't.Why? Because she thought Trump would be out by now like everyone else in the political realm. She doesn't know what she's about to walk into when it comes to Trump. He's not your typical politician. This time the Clinton Machine won't be able to save her sorry ass. She's Twenty years too late. There's a playbook on Clinton. There's no telling what Trump has in store gor her maybe an orange prison jumpsuit.Trump's vanquished 16 opponents.Hillary had a cakewalk compared to Trump. Not to mention 66,000 attack adds Trump made through. Most candidates lives would have been ruined by that many attack adds. I'm glad somebody finally shut the Bushes up and we no longer have to hear from them anymore and when Trump dismantles Hillary we won't have to hear from the Clinton's anymore.

77,

I sure hope you are right. I don't hate Hillary as a person, but I do hate her for the kind of person she is and the things that she has done since she was s Senator and the Secretary of State. She gets too many free passes. I would love to see somebody spank her ass until she can't sit down. She belongs in jail along with that Slick Willie husband of hers. She represents everything that I hate and detest since the 1960s. She is the culmination of all that garbage that has permeated every aspect of our culture.

Not likely, there are too many out IRL to remind anyone who might forget what he is all about.
And not simply what he has spouted in the last few months, but his actions over the years...that "jobs for Americans" guy with his use and abuse of undocumented workers from Poland.
The abortions he has coerced people into, the housing laws he has broken, the extramarital affairs and so much more.

What amazes me his how little he's changed over they years. Most people learn to moderate their behavior as they get older--part of the process of learning from our mistakes but Trump seems to have only gotten brasher, more arrogant and self absorbed as he grew older. That must be what happens when there is no one to say NO to you but are always surrounded by people who kiss his ass.

Have you ever noticed, when he presents himself in public, how he wares his women like a cape, wrapped around him in adornment--like Nero sitting on his throne. He is the perfect king for conservatives as he represents everything that they themselves think they can achieve. A self made man who only needed a "small" million dollar loan and made millions manipulating bankruptcy laws like a pro. He's always 'stuck-it' too the man even though they could have easily been part of group of investors that he stuck it too. No matter, that's how you navigate through life--the strong feeding on the weak until one day you sit unchallenged at the top of the heap--with beauty wrapped around you like a trophy. If he could do it for himself than he certainly can do it for America is their belief. What's they don't realize is that in the real world those he's going to try to stick it too have nukes and despots that are as arrogant as he is.

But alas. The question remains can he bring enough in the middle to his side to actually get elected. He has the nutty left and the nutty right and those who look at Hillary and see Satan but can he get that percentage in the middle who aren't as gullible and easily won as those who gave up thinking for themselves long ago. That's what remains to be seen. I still say no. As bad a Hillary is Trump is worse by multiples. It looks to be a white knuckled ride to the end with fingers crossed that reason prevails...

You call people who vote for Trump 'nutty' because Trump wants 'America to be great again' and he puts 'America and Americans first'.

So this will make the people who are against Trump "DO NOT want to see America great again" and want to put "ILLEGAL's and MUSLIM refugees first" but NOT AMERICA and AMERICANS.

It's a dark time in America!
Choosing between the lesser of two evils is still choosing evil.
Trump's 'touchback' amnesty immigration policy will only be slightly different than Hillary's.
As far as his SCOTUS appointments, he'll likely lose the House and maybe even the Senate. So he'll have a hard time getting even his moderate Supreme Court appointments confirmed.
Many, with good reason, think that Trump is downright evil.
Supporting him, concedes that this is the 'new normal'.
I'm keeping my powder dry for now.
There's still time for other options to play out.

An excellent post.

What we see in this 'race' for the brass ring is a struggle of two cults of personalities.
Trump v Clinton is something unique to this age, I believe. Americans have become so shallow, so veneer-like that we are more than willing to operate simply upon the characteristics of the personalities of the top dogs at the cost of greater issues.

Indeed, we are in dangerous territory... a pest-infested swamp.

I just hope you are right! Don't under estimate Hillary. She is like an old cat. She has nine lives and she knows how to survive to fight another day. I hope Trump stomps her into the ground!

Bottom line (for me, anyhow) = We Americans simply cannot survive more progressive/socialist/anti-American policies from the White House, so Hillary must be defeated and her party (Democrat Party, not Democratic Party, has to be rendered ineffectual... powerless at least for eight years.
Then, there's the disquieting fact that what put our AA/AA Experimental president into the White House- "Hope"- is all too often mentioned by Trump supporters. Most here can recall "Hope and Change", right? Where did that get us?

So, there's my 'bottom line', such as it is. I would vote for Goofy, Pluto, or the Easter Bunny before I'd vote for a known progressive/socialist/lying foolish woman like Hillary.

Trump got to be the presumptive Republican nominee not because of positions that differentiated him from any other candidate but because of PERSONAL ATTACKS! Which for starters violates Regan's 11 commandment, "don't engage in personal attacks on fellow Republicans."
Trump's only ideology is Trump. He was already all over the map on key Republican core issues (limited government, personal responsibility, lower taxes, etc.) and over the last weekend he's been equivocating even more. And moving inexorably left!
That's what happens when someone, whose only core is a massive ego, gets thrust into power. To preserve his power he'll go left to get more support. In the words of Lord Action, "Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely!" Crony capitalism at its worst!
At this point I'm still firmly in the #NeverTrump fold. November is still 6 months away.
As of right now, Trump is a prospective employee interviewing us, the prospective employer to see if we'll give him the job. His resume leaves much to be desired.
I won't decide until I have more information, especially about how he plans to mend the breach with Ryan, who will host the Republican convention in Cleveland. Won't that be a sight! A convention where Speaker Ryan won't support him because Trump is at odds with conservative principals. This development should be very interesting.
Trump needs Ryan much more than Ryan needs Trump.

I think you are accurate in your assessments with one exception... Ryan.

If Ryan was a solid Republican would he have encouraged so little challenge to Obama's proposals ex. Budget?
I once thought Ryan a decent conservative... I now feel he is just another establishmentarian. Another wimpy Republican with a large grin/smirk.

You're right of course! Ryan failed to oppose Obama when he should have done so.
Yet even milquetoast Ryan can't bring himself to support Trump!
Things are not looking good for the party of Reagan.
Constitutional conservatives are now in an absolute quandary.
There is no one to look to, for leadership. It's every man for himself.

Heard in a neighborhood tavern:

Hillary will soon be indicted for her e-mails;

Trump will soon be indicted for income tax evasion;

Gary Johnson could be president.
