This then should motivate you to become wealthy.... or learn what is worth arguing over!

The fact that the wealthy own your ass, is quite obvious! Only one who owes another would respond in such a manner!

I do not own anyone and no one owns me. If you honestly think someone owns you, then you will be destined to live on the fringe of life!

The fringe of life is determined by the wealthiest, how much you owe and what is payed, a fact that only the foolish ignore! You dwell in the center of the mole hill!

Ray,

The rich and the powerful rule over us just as you say.

Any man who works eight hours a day for pay, is a slave.

So far, America is still the best place in the world to be a slave.

How long do you think we can keep it that way ?

In fact, I am not in the center. I do not have a credit card, and even if I did... I would not use it. I make purchases by need not by impulse, and credit card users for the most part have not learned the difference between what they need and what they want. Facts are, I can well afford anything that I want or need.....but, I was taught to fix things when they break and not just buy a replacement item because the one I have is old. I don't even have a mortgage on my properties... and my vehicles were bought with cash.... Sure, I could buy a new car every year....but why would I want to do that if mine works fine? I have read your past posts so I will not quote Proverbs to you, but elect rather Thomas Tusser. He wrote a poem called Five Hundred Points of Good Husbandry, and the saying can be found within: "A foole and his money be soone at debate: which after with sorow repents him too late."

So in other words you are poor and can afford little, that does not change the fact the the very wealthy dictate every cent you spend!

I am hardly poor, in fact I am in the category in which you complain. But, trust me... I do not own anyone..... I do have people who work for me, but they are paid quite well and I do concern myself with their well being and welfare. If you think that is ownership, because they work for me.... well, I guess I am guilty as charged. Funny, my taxes are more than what your president said he earned last year. As I said, I can afford anything that I want... well, perhaps not everything...there are things that money just can't buy. I want to be 18 again.... not going to happen!

Penny, you may hire people to do a job for you at a wage better than average, does not make you a slave holder. The fact that you are concerned with their well being and welfare makes you a God in my book! So many people who do work, now a days, can't hardly make ends meet. I never had so much fun and money as when I owned my own business. My family was my staff, and had as much fun as me. I have learned that the hard way about credit cards, now have sworn off of them, cigarettes and hard liquor. I'm not giving up my wine, period.

The fact of the matter is this topic, doesn't make much sense, money doesn't make you any smarter than Joe the plumber.

What is the purpose of this comment? To manufacture an argument? To pit one side against the other? An attempt to make others despise the wealthy? To bring people together for some hidden reason? Another question: Are you happy about your assumption or unhappy about it? Does this mean you have no concerns about freedoms or are you proclaiming we no longer have any freedoms?

I am not arguing with your comment, but I cannot determine where the "FACT" lies.

Raylan-you are probably correct on that one. Trump has already rendered a great service to this country by exposing corrupt systems for electing a president on both sides of the aisle. I would dare say that most of us posting here never paid much attention to either system in the past and we all went along with allowing a few elites to dictate who our nominee/president would be. Trump has awakened a sleeping giant and we would be remiss to allow such corrupt systems to continue existing. Bernie is working hard and cannot win because Hillary has already bought the Super Delegates. Similarly, Trump is in the lead but may not be the nominee if he does not reach an arbitrary number set by the elites in their attempt to retain control. Easy solution is standardized primaries for all States , eliminate Super Delegates, and the candidates with the most delegates at convention time are their respective party's nominees. This returns control to the voter as opposed to the party elites and is the only democratic way of electing a president. Good Luck America !!!!

Oh, I definitely have a credit card. I use it wisely and pay the full amount every month; hence no interest paid. I use it as my bookkeeper so that I don't have to do books to satisfy the IRS.....I have everything on my credit card account billings. I NEVER shop beyond my means, never have, and I maintain a financial cushion. I will never give up my credit card which I do not NEED, but prefer over checks and banks.
